Everyone has gone home, husband in bed, and I am having a glass of 'our' white wine, 2 years old now and
tasting vefry nice, with a piece of rich xmas cake with cherries and nuts on top, (just a small one) as
it is close to bed, don't want to have nightmares. lol

Right now I'm eating peanut butter on celery. Believe or not, my roommate's mother never made this for him growing up and now he even won't try it. I told him about "ants on a log" (with raisins) and he doesn't believe it's a normal snack!

A question for Juan or anyone else who might know:

What is "old colony soup" ?

I saw a reference to a Yankee restaurant menu from 1840 or so which mentioned this soup but did not give details. When I checked Google all I saw was spoons from that era.

Anyone have an idea as to what this is ???

Just ate a ham sandwich and am sipping on tea. Waiting for wifey to wake up (probably about half hour) and make some of that home-roasted, home-ground coffee. I may have a bit of what she cooks for breaky, too.
Still dark out here, but I may go out and get her little garden tractor out of storage and mobile.
