Well, weirder still, Trudeau “probably” didn’t discuss ‘Chinese interference in Canadian Elections’ with Xi on Tuesday, which was leaked to the press, in order to have Xi confront Trudeau on Thursday:
1668984502073.jpeg
1668984627695.jpegOTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Sunday he has never been briefed that any candidates in the 2019 federal election may have been influenced by financing from the Chinese government.
So if he’s never been briefed as of Sunday the 20th on this, what would he have to confront Xi about 5 days earlier on the 15th? YouTube videos and two+ year old news stories like the rest of us peons?

Trudeau would not confirm to media whether he specifically discussed election interference with Xi, saying only he raised interference in general.

But then, why would he be briefed? This is from 11 months ago:

This is from more than a year ago:

This is from over two years ago:

If there was significant interference by China in Canada’s last two federal elections, which seems increasingly likely, the federal agency specifically created by the Trudeau government to inform the public about it said nothing.

That suggests one of two things, both alarming.

Either it didn’t know about it, or did know and didn’t tell us.

Prior to the 2019 federal election, the Liberal cabinet created the Critical Election Incident Public Protocol (CEIPP) headed by five senior civil servants — the clerk of the privy council; the national security and intelligence advisor to the prime minister; the deputy minister of justice and deputy attorney general; the deputy minister of public safety and the deputy minister of foreign affairs.

The government described CEIPP as “the mechanism for communicating with Canadians during the 2019 election (and subsequent elections) in a clear, transparent and impartial manner, if there had been an egregious incident that threatened Canada’s ability to have a free and fair election.”

Following the 2019 election, CEIPP said it observed no foreign interference that would impact the integrity of the election.

But an extensive report by Global News reporter Sam Cooper earlier this month said Canadian intelligence officials warned Prime Minister Trudeau in January of this year that China had allegedly targeted Canada with a vast campaign of foreign interference in the 2019 election, one component of which was funding a secret network of at least 11 federal candidates running for the Liberal and Conservative parties.

….& yet, as of today, he hasn’t been briefed:

So which one is it? I get that Xi wanted Liberals in power in 2019 & 2021 (Google Uighur Genocide Vote Canada), and that O’Toole has been saying for a long time that there was interference by China in the 2021 Federal Election…& that we’re talking about the 2019 Federal Election…but seriously, the PM hasn’t been briefed on this since the Fall of 2019? Dude doesn’t have freak’n Google access?

Notice the very specific wording of his reply - not briefed on candidates receiving money DIRECTLY - but nothing about volunteers and workers on the campaign and paid advisors being on the payroll of China. Which is what the allegation is. That and other methods of intimidation and threats for candidates.

He's pretending he didn't know about the interference but he knew. And he's said nothing.

And yet, my opinion regarding Justin Trudeau hasn’t changed even a little bit. I’m just confused that others haven’t seen this greasiness for years already, & that others still don’t.

Do we get a redo when there was meddling?
No. The candidates themselves would have been unaware of it and the idea of a democracy is that the voters can sort the wheat from the chaff and make good decisions. All we can do is make sure it doesn't happen again by updating our laws appropriately and being more vigilant. Technically china didn't break any rules.

"In other words, the left-leaning Trudeau Liberals need to substantially change their political and economic approach to properly deal with the coming recession, which could cripple our economy. Much the same way their right-leaning predecessors, the Harper Tories, had to shift course in 2007-08 when dealing with the global financial crisis precipitated by the subprime mortgage collapse in the United States.

Guess what? They’re not."

Best I can tell from the shoddy media reports, which are more speculative than factual, no one really knows what they talked about. Xi seemeed more pissed that TurdOWE didn’t give the approved script to the media, than what the contents were.
A few queries into question period, Bloc Québécois MP Alain Therrien challenged the prime minister’s assertion on Sunday that he hadn’t been briefed on the revelations.

Those comments counter ones made by sources to Global News last month that Trudeau was informed in January that as many as eleven Liberal candidates received funding by the Chinese government.

“But, as usual, (the prime minister) says he doesn’t know anything,” Therrien said in French during question period.

“At the G20 Summit, he discussed it with Chinese President Xi Jinping — so supposedly he doesn’t know anything, but enough to discuss it with the second-most powerful man on the planet.”

Therrien drew doubts that the PM would enter into such a discussion merely based on a news report, asking if he actually knew the details and is just choosing to keep them under wraps.

“2 + 2 = 5 and you’re a Racist if you don’t agree”

He is already!

Ya know what, that wasn't the point.

But I think he moreso just ignores what China does and is doing, because in the end he's a damned coward.

This 'moment' of his was a rare thing.

It doesn't matter if standing up to Xi WAS good on him, what matters that it has led to SFA being done about China after the fact.

It's why Trudeau needs to GTFO of being PM as soon as possible.

Of course something was done. You now know in order to fight China you cant vote Liberal.
It certainly demonstrates the depth of the tribalism.

Maybe…maybe Chinese Interference in Canadian Federal Elections has been a positive thing for the Liberal Party of Canada, and thus the silence until recently when the media stopped letting the story fade away repeatedly? Is that what we’re seeing?

Its exactly what we're seeing. I cant wait to see eveyone whining about "Conservative attack ads" next election. In reality they wont be an attack, just a montage of Liberals breaking the law and trying to cover their tracks.
