None so blind as those who willfully refuse to see. Don't worry, Darwin will take care of y'all.

It is not that some of us don't see the changes happening to our climate, Cliffy. Hell, I just watched a really disturbing documentary called the Big Thaw all about the enormous chunks of perma-frost (which is fast becoming a useless term) that are being lost daily in the high Arctic. My problem and that of others, is that many other scientists have shown us that climate change has happened many times over the life of our planet - even before we populated the Earth so densely. Calling it man-made climate change is specious at best. Inflicting carbon taxes and other forms of drastic and costly measures upon the Canadian public will do nothing to alter the course we are already upon.

Im fully confident in our ability to innovate technologically and meet the challenges of our melting ice age. That we are speeding it up or not. Its going to happen reguardless.

We have endless data to prove ice age and meltdowns of ice age have happened for billions of years.

Im not caught up in the hysteria

I have been watching Yukon Gold and Gold Rush the last few years . Quite interesting how they solve the many problems facing the miners each season . I find that one problem that occurs often is frozen ground . I think that kind of flies in the face of the melting permafrost .

Alarmist remind me of rookies. They think everything that’s happening is for the first time. I carry DNA within my living body that has survived ice ages and meltdowns before. Unlike alarmists Im not @ my first rodeo.

Yes that reality tv show evidence pretty much torpedoes all these scientific reports.

So let me guess. This has happened 1000 times on earth, but this time you think we should regulate everything about climate?
Because thats what a good communist ideologue always does. Earth has survived several ice age in a free market environment. But what we need this time is more regulations and more taxes.

Well if you and the rest of the ecoterrorists are so concerned you should remove yourself from the living. Especially since very few of you contribute to society in any meaningfully way.Fewer people would put fewer demands on resources.

Most of them have actually. They aren’t having many children. Equates to the same thing.

I'm not caught up in the hysteria either, Angst simply because I see it as nothing more than hubris - us humans thinking we can affect something as complicated and multi-layered as our climate. Have we contributed to the problem? Probably, but to lay the blame squarely at our feet as the made-man climate apologists are wont to do is yet another example of over-weaning self-importance.

It's the 13th of November and our current temp is 8', no snow, lawns are still green and we're walking around in early fall clothing. 30 years ago, when I spent my first winter in the area, I was up to my knees in snow and we had temps of - 40. It has literally been decades since we have experienced those types of conditions as each winter has been progressively shorter and warmer and that's regardless of whether it was an El Niño or La Niña winter. The same applies to wind storms. Where once it was rare to experience severe windstorms in our area, we have now come to expect them yearly during spring and fall. They are also much more powerful and sustained. That is some of my evidence for changes happening in the climate, locally. Whether you blame on man or normal climate change events as per data matters not - it is happening. I can see it. And not for one minute do I believe that taxing nor hundreds of new regulations are going to stop it in its tracks. It is here. Carry on.

That's quite true, Eagle. Some day, we will all leave this mortal coil.

Check it out, pgs.

W5 investigates: Thawing permafrost may release carbon and methane, contributing to further global warming

Self importance. Yes. I agree. Alarmist share that characteristic.

We are poisoning the planet, fowling the air, water and soil. Thousands of species are extinct or on the danger list, all since the industrial revolution. We destroy our life support system like there is no tomorrow and people think that is OK with no thought to future generations. We either stop this stupidity or we kill ourselves off. Forget the politics. Governments are there to maintain the status quo. No savior is coming to save our greedy little asses.

In honour of your insipid post, I will light some truck tires on fire using chainsaw oil and gas. Thanks for the idea!

Have you noticed Dog the Bounty Hunter isn't quite as tanned as he used to be?

Obviously climate change is fake news.
