What are you going to do when the Saudis and Israel team up to thump Iran while the US stands back to watch the show?

Are the Kurds still a UN listed terrorist organization? I don't agree with it and the UN should step in and calm the waters where are they? Why criticize the US for doing the same as the rest of the coalition did?

Who are the Kurds? A Middle Eastern people with 'no friends but the mountains'

Obama pull out good, Trump pull out bad, plain and simple explanation
Of course not. It is HOW Donald is doing it. He is doing it impulsively........and with little consideration for the negative consequences the departure will have. Each situation is different and has to be evaluated on its own merit. The problem is that trump dose not listen to anyone but his own "instincts" He does not operate on logic and facts but relies on his" instincts"...........as if they are a barometer for good judgement .or fact based They are NOT....... they are just primal emotions........."fight or flight" mechanisms.

Congress set for showdown with Trump over Kurds

https://thehill.com/policy/defense/465105-congress-set-for-showdown-with-trump-over-kurds

Trump apparently did not discuss this with the relevant parties...............he just went ahead with the decision after talking to the Turkish leader................So It looks like he might be doing something that the Turkey leadership asked of him... It just happens to fit with his campaign promise of bringing troops home.

He should release the transcript of that call ...

Curiouser and curiouser.

Would you be happy if American air craft splashed the Turkish force ?

this is not a "happy" situation. People are going to die. The Kirds had a deal with the US........that provided some degree of support and protection. This BETRAYAL is not going down well around many nations.....who are watching Trump crazy behavior get worse. This says again.......that the US cannot be trusted . It is astonishing that the Turkish leader had that much influence on Trump................ then again...

Trump is not removing our troops from Syria. He’s just moving them from the northern Syrian border, allowing Turkey to invade Syria and slaughter the Kurds. He lied to the Kurds, promising them our support while simultaneously preventing them from reconciling with the Syrian government and coordinating a common defense against the Turkish invasion.
In short, the impending slaughter and ethnic cleansing of the Kurds in northern Syria by Turkey is happening because Trump refuses to end our efforts to overthrow the Syrian government. The Kurds are just another casualty of this regime change war which is supported by war-mongering Republicans, Democrats, and the corporate media.
The hypocrisy of warmongers like Nikki Haley, Senator Graham and others who have demanded that we continue our regime change war in Syria, who are now crying crocodile tears for the Kurds, is nauseating. Starving the Syrian people through draconian sanctions, strengthening terrorists like AQ and ISIS, wasting billions of dollars, creating a refugee crisis, and now this impending genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Kurds — the warmongers consider these costs to be a small price to pay in their effort to change the Syrian regime.

So should they stay or should they go . If they stay there will be trouble , if they go it will be double . Should they stay or should they go ?

Maybe, the Kurds refused to spy on Biden for him and he's punishing them, instead.
It is becoming crystal clear that the United States can no longer be trusted to be a steadfast ally.
Wait for Trump to tear up NORAD, next.
LOL, we already proved that biden thing is the opposite of what you say ( LOL, so much for actual quotes and transcripts) and you know that MR commie nazi globalist pedo, but you just keep licking the same ol' tired weener day after day.
;)
On full display as well.

AS far as allowing the Kurds to invade Syria...well that's what YOU actually stand for.
LOL, Megaphonies are so imperialistically silly.

Trump defends abandoning the Kurds by saying they didn't help the US in WWII

  • President Donald Trump on Wednesday continued to defend his decision to withdraw US troops from northeastern Syria, abandoning Kurdish forces in the region, by saying the Kurds did not help the US during World War II.
  • "They didn't help us in the Second World War; they didn't help us with Normandy," Trump said of the Kurds, who played a vital role in the US-led campaign against ISIS.
  • And when asked by reporters whether he felt the Syria retreat and treatment of the Kurds sent a poor message to other potential US allies, Trump said, "Alliances are very easy."
  • Trump's comments came hours after Turkey launched a military operation against the formerly US-backed Kurdish forces in Syria.
President Donald Trump on Wednesday defended his decision to abandon the Kurds to a Turkish military incursion in Syria by saying they didn't help the US during World War II.
This came amid reports that Turkish ground troops were crossing the border into Syria after air strikes that began earlier in the day.
"They didn't help us in the Second World War; they didn't help us with Normandy," Trump said of the Kurds. He added, "With all of that being said, we like the Kurds." The Kurdistan region, which stretches across the borders of Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Iran, and Armenia, is roughly 4,000 kilometres (2,500 miles) from Normandy, France. The Kurds are a distinct ethnic group — with an estimated population between 25 to 35 million — that have never had a permanent or official nation state.
The Trump administration on Sunday abruptly announced the US was withdrawing troops stationed in northeastern Syria ahead of a Turkish operation.
The move has been broadly condemned in Washington, including by top congressional Republicans and former Trump administration officials, as many feel Trump paved the way for Turkey to go after key US allies.
The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) bore the brunt of the US-led campaign against ISIS, losing about 11,000 fighters in the process.
Ahead of the Trump administration's announcement, Kurdish forces had recently dismantled defensive positions along the Turkey-Syria border under assurances from the US it would not allow a Turkish assault. The SDF described Trump's decision to withdraw troops as a "stab in the back" and made clear it felt betrayed by the US.

Trumps Syria decision tests GOP support amid impeachment inquiry

Instead of enjoying uncontested Republican support as he plunges into a constitutional showdown and prepares for a bruising reelection campaign, President Trump is now fighting on two fronts within his own party.

source: WAPO

He brought all of this on himself...........

Does anyone know his REAL motive to withdraw those limited number of troops

Seems his conversation with the Turkish leader ( who had been talking to Putin before this phone call)........ triggered this decision. He might have been promised something.....but I speculate ..
