The reports of the CIA scrambling to assemble secret drone bases near Yemen appear not only to be true, but to have been a dramatic understatement, as the Washington Post is now reporting the US is building a large number of bases across the entire region to house their favorite flying killer robots.

The best way to fight, target and keep troops off the ground. But the US Army has adapted during the Iraq War on lessons learned - Divisions are now specialized brigades, brigades broken down to specialized units. In and out fast.

It's debatable who missed the point. Besides OB is not obsessing again, she never stopped. Although I agree with much of what she says, I think it is misdirected. The US is just as much a pawn as any other country as none really has any control over their own governments or military. We will see how things play out over the next few weeks.

You're right... I should have said "the obsession continues."

Amazing how OB via the antiwardotcom webpage has the inside scoop on all these "Secret Drone Bases". Give me a break.

If they are now talking openly about this news item it must be really old news within the military groups. Build one next to every mid-east nation.

Note that these govts support it - A susbstantail number of US Muslims agree that the US Govt is sincere on the War on Terror.

Will it stop there??? What is to stop them from building them in and around European nations?? South America and even N.America .
