There are a number of movements opposing Trump that are gaining momentum, the one you mentioned, RVAT and The Lincoln Project to name a few. Some Republicans know that the Republican party is no more, it's become the Trump party and they have to take it back.
It might require more than just taking it back. A lot of damage has been done..........so it might be a GOP version 2.0 that emerges after this mess. With intelligence and creativity they have an opportunity to build on the former positives of the party and enhance/ modernize it.
(The Dems could use a bit of updating as well)

Times are changing more rapidly than established systems and politics can keep up with.

( I didn't know about those other groups. Thanks for the info MB.)

Exactly, there are Republicans who are stating that the only way to save the party is to vote Democrat and at least have a chance to rebuild. Trump and his enablers have done so much damage to the party it could take years to repair. As you stated both parties could use a shot in the arm but the damage that Trump has done to the GOP is especially troubling.

Np, the other groups are worth checking out to hear what former Trump supporters are saying concerning the upcoming election.
