Yes I do if you'd care to use the quote in context. In the end, some intervention at the federal level is required to allow Canadian registered airplanes out of the country. Perhaps some federal bureaucrat is going to step back from a latté to expediate the paperwork - or get the planes proper authority to enter the airspaces above several foreign lands.

How do you know the geeks are involved? Setting fires doesn't require any special inteligence.
I don't recall anybody saying otherwise. The point was that the feds can't do much because there is a very limited federal fire service. Without the provinces first offering the equipment, there would have been nothing for the federal government to do. Sorry you missed the point.

So far you've claimed Cyprus as your own, against the oppressed minority who lives in about a third of it. Yes the Island was greek at one point, then turkish at another. Neither owns it. Cyprus should be its own country (or better yet two).
As of now its a violation of international law. It belongs to the EU (Despite being Asian, more so than Turkey which is part European) despite it not being allowed by treaty in any organization that does not include both Turkey and Greece (Turkey is not in the EU, Greece is) AND despite being in the EU, they don't give 1/3rd of its citizens EU rights because they are the wrong nationality.
It is not a Greek colony and Greece should be red faced ashamed of treating it like one (not that Turkey is without fault, but two wrongs do not make a right).
Getting back to the fires. The EU is as rich as America AND has less forest fires (California is bigger than Greece, it may not be a country now, but it could be if it seperated and became the bear republic again).
But your posts acts like America should fly across the ocean, leave its own citizens at risk to bail out Greece with its own cash that Greece doesn't pool into.
But the EU, who is next door, doesn't have forest fires, has as much money AND gets that money from Greece.. is not required to send help.

I didn't mean to infer that Greece never offered or send aid to the US for the victims of Katrina. I was pointing out in obviously obscure terms, how the US government didn't show up for Katrina. Still there is a disaster there with still a lack of help from the government to get the place cleaned up and people back into their homes. Maybe it wouldn't take so long if the Government cared about the people there and the military wasn't busy caring about the people in Iraq.
I wish people would understand the separation of the State and the Federal governments in the U.S.

Talk about low level nitpicking.
Even now that idiot state is rebuilding a new levee system which will ultimately fail in the future....perhaps it is planned obsolescence so the people's living conditions will be continually upgraded if they aren't killed. But it looks pretty on the news - all those lovely new homes which will ultimately be flooded yet again.
