Two years into the Trudeau 2.0 Minority Term, which day will Justin call the election that only he wants?

Will Jody Wilson-Raybould be out of her federal pension if she looses in her riding?
She has already said that she will not be running. Too bad as she was one who was pushing in the right direction.

My strategy in the past was to vote against anyone needing to be elected to be eligible for the pension and am In that situation again with a 22 year old Conservative incumbent. Nothing personal but best to nip them in the bud imo.

I try to pull my new sources from a variety of different places to get an idea of different opinions. If I’m trying to find the extreme left leaning apologetic side of things…. the CBC is the go to….

I read new stories from the right and the left and what comes across as the centre.
I will read stuff from this forum and from Reddit also.

yesterday morning after this announcement on Reddit there was already 2200 comments and when I skimmed the first 150 or 200 it was amazing how many people (Young people I’m assuming from eastern Canada) stated that they were pissed off this was happening at all and that they were going to vote NDP…. Now whether or not those people get off their couches or is anybody’s guess but we will figure that one out in about 35 days give or take due to mail in votes….
Oddly enough on CBC Vancouver Early Edition this AM, it's been Trudeau slamming.

I'm not sure why he's called the election when he has a veritable majority (since the Bloc & NDP support whatever motion JT brings forward). But hey, we're in a hell of a lot of debt so what's $600 million +/- more? We'll just add to it - no problem.

They are good at elections.

Not that good with being elected but good at getting elected.

I'm assuming it'll coming in two weeks or less based upon the expiry of the CERB program in October & the quick settlement of the CBSA "Job Action" & the Billions upon Billions of our tax$$'s given or promised away by Justin Hood & the Merry Liberal Party even just recently. The other Federal Parties & all of us Canadians have to prepare for Justin's ego & indifference to this pending but unannounced Federal Election before the Delta Variant gets more than the toe-hold it currently has, and with CERB expiring in October....we can count backwards 36-50 days from that point to the announcement so the clock is ticking. Millions of Golf Pencil's have been purchased. Justin Shaved for Christ's Sake!!

Wish I could remember how to create a Poll so we could pick dates in the next two weeks but such is life. I'm going with Friday 08/21/21 'cuz that's my birthday. Anyone else with a prediction date (& the logic behind the guess)?

We had to know something was up when comrade Fidel Trudeau shaved his Castro like looking beard off? He could not look like Castro during an election. His beard would not look so becoming if he kept looking like Fidel Castro. If he should win the next election that beard of his will be back. Let's just hope that the electorate are not that stupid enough again to put that comrade nitwit back in power. Canada will be doomed for sure if that nitwit gets to become Canada's dear leader for another four more years. The Canada that we all once knew just a few decades ago will be gone and finished off.

Maybe the Americans will see a mad rush of freedom loving Canadians fleeing and trying to enter America illegally. Now, wouldn't that be something? Hey, the Americans are welcoming hundreds of thousands of illegals from all over the world at the Mexican border to enter America illegally every month so why not millions of Canadians? Canadians could bring with them their knowledge, expertise and good working ethics to try and help make America great again, eh?

Of course the liberal conservative party, the NDP or Greenie socialist/communist party's are no better. They all have pretty much gone along with what Fidel has done to Canada already. There is only one political party left that can save Canada and that is the People's Party of Canada. They are Canada's last conservative hope for survival as a free nation. Canada must return to a real and true conservative party if it wants to remain and survive as a freedom loving country. Canada cannot survive four more years of liberalism, socialism and communism anymore. Just my opinion of course. (y)

Mail in those ballots
No worries. Fidel has probably already rigged the election in his favor with the help of communist China. Those dominion machine will do the job for him. They apparently worked for Joe BiDumb. Communists are great at cheating during elections. Just saying. LOL.

It was discussed that A-Stan should be an election issue.
From Tom Mulcair:

SAINT-SAUVEUR, QUEBEC -- And they’re off!…

The race has started and Justin Trudeau has bet everything on his ability to get to the finish line with a majority.

His lead in the polls convinced him to start planning for the election over the past few months. What he couldn’t know in advance was how rapidly and severely the fourth wave would hit. Once you’ve started your engine, done all the planning, bought all the airtime (shaved off your beard!)…it’s pretty hard to stop the infernal machine.

And so it went: set piece meeting with the Governor General, confident walk out of Rideau Hall to all of the waiting microphones and cameras, easy.

He didn’t.

The tough questions came in rapid succession. There was no way to explain the unjustifiable. It was transparent that the only reason Canadians were being forced to go to the polls in the midst of the fourth wave of a pandemic was the self-interest and sense of entitlement of Justin Trudeau and his Liberal Party. It was all about them, not about Canadians.

The most difficult question was one that he refused to answer even though it was repeated several times: what will he do if he fails to win his much-coveted majority?

The journalists knew the answer to their own question: he’d be given his gold watch and a pat on the back by the Natural Governing Party.

In the run-up to the campaign there have been a few issues that have come seemingly out of left field that have caused fits for the Liberals.

The Agency responsible for pesticides had the brilliant idea of announcing a consultation on their plan to increase the amount of glyphosate in the food Canadians eat. The World Health Organization has determined that glyphosate is a probable carcinogen. A mad scramble ensued. They had to find a way to unplug the idea without interfering in the legislated mandate of a regulatory body. They said they’d be consulting on changes to the law and that nothing would be decided before next spring: i.e. until the election is over.

Then all hell broke loose in Afghanistan. Our ever-valiant Ottawa civil servants wanted translators and others who had helped Canada during the war to fill out forms and email them in. An absurd demand on people who are hiding to save their lives in a country with crumbling infrastructure. Trudeau showed that nothing was going to interfere with election planning and a first planeload with Afghan nationals aboard was soon landing, job done! But…

In his prepared statement at the campaign launch, Trudeau was still claiming that 20,000 Afghans were going to be brought to Canada. Images from Kabul later the same day made it clear that that was now unlikely, if not impossible.

The tragedy of Afghanistan will become an element of the campaign because it goes to the core of Canadians’ perception of the government and how it works. Or, in this case, how it doesn’t. It also puts a circle around the stain of an unnecessary election call when there are huge issues like this to be dealt with.

The unfolding Afghan tragedy will provide O’Toole with an opportunity to make an emotional connection in an area where Trudeau simply cannot go. 40,000 Canadians served in Afghanistan. O’Toole is one of the few people to have run for Prime Minister with a military background. He was a Captain in the Air Force before going back to civilian life as a lawyer. That training and experience gives him a unique ability to talk about the sacrifice of the Canadian men and women who served in Afghanistan and the debt owed to those who helped us.

There will be other unforeseen events that will wreak havoc on the best laid plans of all of the parties. But this one issue may well prove crucial. As the dire news continues to come out of Kabul, there will be tragic human stories that will capture Canadians’ attention, much like the pictures of the body of a young Syrian boy on a beach did during the 2015 campaign. You can’t plan for that and Trudeau will be in the same position Harper was, trying to explain his inaction.

Liberal candidate called people getting vaccines 'entitled' 'guinea pigs'

When you are running in an election and asking people to vote for you, telling them where to go is a bad idea.

When your leader is mainly campaigning on vaccines, your old comments about people getting vaccines being experimented on won’t go over well either.

A couple of old posts from a Liberal candidate in Calgary Nose Hill have caused some headaches for Justin Trudeau and his team. As Trudeau showed up in Calgary for a rally Thursday night, the Conservatives were only happy to point to the past ramblings of Jessica Dale-Walker.

“I chose to allow the entitled to flock for the vaccine like they demanded to be the guinea pigs, that way should there be problems those with brains were left behind,” Dale-Walker said in a now deleted tweet from November 2020.

Her comments were part of a longer Twitter conversation casting doubt on the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines. Dale-Walker had to walk back those comments through a statement issued by the Liberal Party.

“If my brash comments caused anyone to think otherwise, I apologize,” Dale-Walker said.

She also said those comments are not how she feels today and that she is double vaccinated.

The trouble of the would-be Liberal candidate didn’t end there though.

In another tweet from March 2020, Dale-Walker said that Alberta needs to “fit in or f*** off.”

The tweet was aimed at the government of Premier Jason Kenney, whom Trudeau attacked during his speech Thursday night. Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner accused the Liberals of trying to divide Albertans and Canadians once again by selecting a candidate with these views.

Rempel Garner, the Conservative candidate in the Calgary Nose Hill riding, was first elected in 2011 and won the riding in the 2019 election with 70% of the vote while the Liberal candidate took 16%.
