He is a very intelligent individual and has a way with words convicted or not . Although I disagree with him here , his commentary is usually well thought out .I don't think Conrad's credibility level is terrible high! (A common trait among felons)![]()

I found this piece to be very interesting and illuminating, Ron. Not that I disagree with your assessment of the little potato and the party, but it never hurts to read a different point of view to get a real perspective on what's happening.

When the suspects testify under oath and are appropriately evaluated and cleared I'll put this to bed.
I'd keep the night light on poking in now and again to make sure it's still sleeping tho.

How about some specifics??''
"anyone but Justin" does not cut it. One could end up with soothing worse.
That point was well made by a political strategist on Power and Politics too, RCS. Barely 3 and a half years and 2 huge scandals - it really could be some kind of record for any party in Canada. Go Liberals, Go.This has to be the first government in Canada that became obtusely arrogant in the dawn of its first term. That kind of arrogance usually comes after two terms.
This scandal is pretty small potatoes compared to the sort of thing that goes on around the planet but it has also shown the typical, classic Liberal Party of Canada entitlement and they wear it well. That point was well made by a political strategist on Power and Politics too, RCS. Hey that is my take . Feel free to hold Conrad Black or anybody else in whatever regard you believe they deserve. Generally I hold most members of the press in low regard.O.K. - You know more about him than I do. Maybe the Yanks did a good job of rehabilitating him!
Of course , it was simply a misunderstanding.I'm surprised that more focus isn't being placed on the coincidental (cough cough) insertion of a D.P.A law into an omnibus bill just prior to the innocent misunderstanding and miscommunication between our Federal Liberal Government and the alleged overly-sensitive whistle blowing Jody Wilson Raybould. Or that SNC Lavalin coincidentally lobbied for that bill and is also coincidentally based in Papineau, QC, which is coincidentally, the Prime Minster's riding.
Purely coincidence.

Oh, and why did Butts resign after the first shot across the bow? Something deeper and darker lurks ...I'm surprised that more focus isn't being placed on the coincidental (cough cough) insertion of a D.P.A law into an omnibus bill just prior to the innocent misunderstanding and miscommunication between our Federal Liberal Government and the alleged overly-sensitive whistle blowing Jody Wilson Raybould. I thought the coincidence was that SNC Lavalin was in the replacement Attorney General's riding. Either way I'm sure it smells the same.

Jody Wilson-Raybould
What a battle axe. She was utterly ruthless in her vendetta.. a woman scorned..Hell hath no fury blah..blah.
Jody had her hit list and wanted her pound of flesh. She was for chopping people right and left irregardless of the effects to careers and families. She viewed herself as someone beyond oversight, supervision, advisement.. responsible only to her own conscience. She surmised no one could infringe on her own sacred, indigenous, turf.
Wilson-Raybould was utterly indifferent to holding the fate of thousands of Lavalin employees hostage for the allegedly criminal acts of its executives. She was motivated by her own conceit of being the final and only arbiter of an abstract, juridical, ideal unmoderated by its concrete, practical, cosequences. She’s was an incompetent Minister of Justice. As Attrorney-General she was a strutting egoist who viewed herself a sollitary judicial sorcerer rather than a subordinate counsel to government agency.
Good riddance to her. Wilson-Raybould was just completely full of herself and had no understanding or empathy with those who would have been harmed by her advocacy. And the same to Justin for facilitating this femi-nazi, amazon clique that controls the Liberal government. And for capitulating to all of her ransom demands, including firing his chief advisor, Gerald Butts, and, forcing the retirement of the Clerk of the PrivyCouncil, Michael Wernick.
He finally sacked her, when it became clear there was going to be no end to her blackmail, including a humiliating apology and directing the new AG not to defer the prosecution of the Lavalin (subsequently denied but all the evidence is that’s exactly what she demanded). She’s, of course, covered herself in self-righteousness, self pity, and victimization.
Well now Jody’s political career is finished. What goes around, comes around. It’s one of the few times Justin has managed to crawl out the naive, debauched, political fantasy world that he inhabits but he did it in a typical hissy fit consistent with his character and after most the damage to his reputation and government had already been inflicted.
Sorry, David Lamenti's riding is next door to the riding that SNC Lavalin is in.I thought the coincidence was that SNC Lavalin was in the replacement Attorney General's riding. Either way I'm sure it smells the same.
