Honestly gopher, I understand that you have a very limited interest in CDN politics, but surely, even in your neck of the woods, you must have seen some coverage of trudeau since he was elected.
That said, JT has been in the eye of the storm on a number of fronts.... Some of these issues are more Canadian-centric and likely not to grab the attention of the international media while others have been advertised globally.
In the end, Trudeau has earned every bit of the derision that he is receiving relative to CC and the submissions offered, hell, I would strongly suggest that in many/most of these threads, even the die-hard Trudeau ideologues can not find any upside to communicate and hence the utter silence from this group.
