A 1983 document – part of a deluge of recently declassified papers released to the public – signed by former CIA officer Graham Fuller titled, “Bringing Real Muscle to Bear Against Syria” (PDF), states (their emphasis):
Syria at present has a hammerlock on US interests both in Lebanon and in the Gulf — through closure of Iraq’s pipeline thereby threatening Iraqi internationalization of the [Iran-Iraq] war. The US should consider sharply escalating the pressures against Assad [Sr.] through covertly orchestrating simultaneous military threats against Syria from three border states hostile to Syria: Iraq, Israel and Turkey.
The report also states:
If Israel were to increase tensions against Syria simultaneously with an Iraqi initiative, the pressures on Assad would escalate rapidly. A Turkish move would psychologically press him further.

Some people don't know the meaning of 'get in line'. The number cannot be accurate, there is no way many many are not getting through undetected. The ones with criminal records are definitely not falling in the embrace of cops and border agents asking for a Tim's coffee, it's ludicrous that Canada has not prepared (they say they did, but that's a big joke).
That is one of the main issues. The Trudeau government was not prepared and the number of border crossings are increasing.
Good. What this says the most about, is the fact that they had originally chosen the u.s. to emigrate to and now they don't feel safe in their chosen country and feel they need to leave.
The best solution to a border problem is to eliminate the border. No border, no problem.
