Tree hugging has now been shown to have scientific validity after all. Contrary to popular belief, touching a tree does make you healthier. In fact you don’t even have to touch the tree to get better, just being within its vicinity has the same effect.

Have you ever hugged a tree?

I was making a joke...tree huggers often scoff at pharmaceuticals, and calling ADHD a manufactured disease by big pharma is a common gripe amongst the granolaphiles. I find the article ironic.

And no, I've never hugged a tree. But I grew up with tens of acres of woods. My brother and I spent many hours in the woods, building camps, bridges over our brooks, and ziplines. The association of nature and positive mental health isn't surprising to me. It's part of why I ended up in the school I did, and with the job I have. To be clear, I'm fine with evidence based conclusions, no matter where they come from :)
