Top of the 7th and it's 4 apiece for a tie.

Picture in picture is an option on your TV to put a little picture inside the big one. I use it for NFL all the time. Monitor a 2nd game while watching the first.

And this can't be good: Troy Tulowitzki exits game with injury | MLB.com

Oh, no I don't have that either, IRBS............I'm kind of low tech when it comes to TV.

Heard that Troy's Xrays came back negative but they scheduled him for an MRI tomorrow which means he will not be the 2nd game today. I'm surprised Kevin Pillar wasn't hurt in the collision - he smacked right dead into Troy's back going at a good pace.

5-4 Jays now mid-8th,

They are saying for rest of the series most likely. More soft tissue in the front.

All tied now.

Bases loaded New York, 1 out bottom of the 8th.

Now going to extra innings.

Bottom of the 10th.

Jays have got 1 across so far in the top of the 11th without benefit of a hit. Bases loaded, now 2 out.

Now 7-5 with their first hit.

So the Yanks went through 3 pitchers in one inning............how many do they have in their bull pen and what are they going to do in the second game?

Jays have used 6 as well. They have a lot due to September call ups. I think I heard them say yesterday the Yankees had 14 relievers available.

Make that 7 for the Jays. 2 on, nobody out in the bottom of the inning.

Game over. 9-5 Final. 3.5 game lead.

No matter what, after this series Jays will be in first place with no worse than a 1.5 game lead.

Looks like 2nd game may be rained out but I expect that they will wait as long as possible as there are no common off days between Toronto and New York the rest of the season.

They just never give up. Lose Troy and don't miss a beat. What a game...........really glad they won this one but I won't get to see Stroman start, darn it. Have to be fast on the clicker during commercials.

I have to get myself some Blue Jays gear..........at the very least one of those super cool Jays caps.

The play that saved the game in the bottom of the 7th was made by Pennington who was in for Tulo.

The extended catch and the throw to first. That's what I meant by them not missing a beat.

I'm watching the start of the 2nd game and Donaldson just got a base hit............and then stole second. MVP MVP

They walk Batista.............yeah.

Oh, oh looks like the weather is starting to change.

And wasn't it Pennington who 'took one for the team' when he got a walk after his foot was hit by the ball?

3 up, 3 down for Marcus............Yee Haw............off to the Banjo Bowl.

Yes it was. He has now hit a 2 run HR to make it 3-0 Jays in the top of the 2nd.

Batista double makes it 4-0 still in 2nd. Stolen bases, wild pitches, and a hit batsman in a bat around inning ... and still only 2 outs.

Gotta hurry it up and do 5 as it is raining.

Back to back HBP. Bases loaded.

Martin doubled in 2 more. 6-0.

Yanks are going to their poor overworked bullpen. Nova goes 1 2/3 innings.

Thanks IRBS..........I'll keep checking to see how it goes. Really appreciate the update. How's Marcus doing?

Oh dear, I just checked in to the game in time to see the Yanks narrow the lead by 3.

Lovely weather.

So what happens if the game cannot resume tonight?

Mowich, since they have played over 5 complete innings, this is now considered an official game. If the Umpires decide to call the game, then the Jays would be awarded a victory. They could just suspend the game, but since they played almost two games today, and play again tomorrow, I doubt that will happen. I believe it will either continue (if the rain lets up) or it will become a Jays victory.

I'm not a huge fan of games being decided like this, but the Jays have been on the crappy end of a loss due to a rain-stoppage, so I'll take the victory and smile (since it is the Stankees).

What shadow says. My guess is they will wait as long as they can.

He had a no-hitter into the 5th. He looked good although rusty in spots. In the 5th he gave up 2 infield hits both aided a bit by deteriorating field conditions. In bottom of 6th Stroman told umpire he was having trouble with footing on his warmups. Umps then ordered the tarps on.

I moved to the big tv which is away from my computer thus the lack of updates until now.

According to tsn.ca, he (Tulowitski) has bruising to his upper back and a small crack on his left shoulder blade. Great...

At least the Jays should be okay, as it looks like Pennington will be good enough defensively. Hopefully he'll pick it up on offense.

2 run HR in 2nd game. Tulo was struggling on offence.

I am doubtful of that report since xrays came back negative.

I am glad they called the rain delay (so far), especially with Stroman pitching. Unsafe field conditions would put even more pressure on his knee and potentially injure him again (or someone else)!

I'm just going by the report that was just posted. They probably have extra free time due to the delay.

Tula was struggling offensively. His defense was a huge approvement over Reyes, though. I had nothing against Reyes, but his defense DID cost them games already.

Looks like game is resuming. Stroman out (not surprising given rain delay).

Crap! They better not get anyone injured because of crappy conditions!

ESPN has picked up same report. Nothing yet on MLB.com. Will see what Buck and Pat have to say.
