They did. Yin an Yang over the course of time. Jays and Yankees have very similar opponents in different order. The 7 against each other will be huge.

They moved back Strohman again to Monday.

So if my math is right, the Jays are a game up?

yeah it was to the glove, at warp speed, and if you watch the replay, he made a nice little grab with
that glove, he did react just as fast as the ball was coming, or it might have hit his glove and
bounced away.

a similar hit ball came to the other pitcher a bit later, and he also caught
it, but the ball was travelling quite a bit slower, it was more like all of
those kind of hits.

I loved that grin he had on his face after that catch, talloola..............it was infectious......almost an aw shucks.

Fortunately, your math is not correct. They are 1.5 games up. 1 in the L column. Yanks will make up that 1/2 game the day after their 3 game set in Toronto. The Yanks will play on Thursday while the Jays will have an off day.

Maybe they had too much fun on their day off?

Thanks for that, spam............I love that song. It always makes me feel like dancing.

I couldn't sleep last night so I broke down common opponents for the Jays and Yankees starting from last Monday (I did this so Boston would not be out of whack and show up as a non-common opponent). The Jays and Yankees each play Baltimore (Jays 7 times, Yankees 6), Boston (Jays 6, Yankees 7), and Tampa Bay (6 each). Jays play or have played Cleveland and Atlanta while the Yankees will play New York Mets and Chicago White Sox. They also face each other 7 times (4 in New York, 3 in Toronto). I think they Jays have a slightly easier schedule.

Of these games, Jays have 15 home games, and 17 road games. Take off 5 already played on current home stand. (10 home, 17 away). Yankees have 18 home games and 15 away games. Take off 3 road and 2 home games already played. (16 home, 12 away). Both teams finish up on the road with the Jays on a 7 game road trip and the Yanks with a 3. The Yankees have a considerable home field advantage down the stretch.

I've got the Rider's game auto-tuned. If they hurry up and get this done, I might just get to see all the innings. GO JAYS!

Not going to make it..............TV just switched to TSN............hopeful that the Jays have the handle and come out on top........and that the Rays can pull off another one with the Yanks.

Jays and Yanks both won. Still 1.5 lead.

Those Yankees.......they just won't cooperate. At one point, the announcer said that every single Jay batter got a hit today - that's pretty cool.
If the Jays keep winning, there is nothing that they Yankees can do. That is why the L column is so important. It represents the final lead if the teams won all their remaining scheduled games (assuming they don't play each other).

Jays have 9 - 2 lead over the Yanks at the bottom of the 5th. Price struck A-Rod out three times. Having great fun switching between this game and the Ham vs Toronto CFL game..........almost the best of both worlds. Thank heavens for commercials, of which TSN has many more than Sportsnet, and half-time.

Bottom of the 6th - Hawkins in relief for Price. Jays up 9 - 2.

Yanks are fighting back 9 - 5 Jays, top of the 7th.

Don't know who did what but the Jays are up 11 - 5 now with one..........make that two out - top of the 7th.

Yeah Jays!

Just tuned in as the Jays got their 3rd out bottom of the ninth and the first win of the series goes to the Blue Birds. 2.5 up on the Yanks now.........nice.

Good start to the series. Doubleheader tomorrow should be interesting. Would be surprised if they were anything but a split. Statistically it is rare to sweep a double header regardless of the teams involved.

Thank heavens there aren't any hockey games, my calendar is full up. In just over an hour I'll catch the Grand Slam of Curling followed immediately by the second Jays vs Yanks game and then I'll have to switch to TSN for a CFL double-header - first up Riders vs Hoovers then Stamps vs Esks. Will be switching back and forth between Riders game and the 3rd game of the Jays/Yanks series. I really want to see the Blue Jays phenom Marcus Stroman and understand he'll lead off in the second game of the double-header.

GO JAYS GO!

Just visited CKA and found this - just for you, IRBS.

I will watch the jays today. Will monitor the outcome of the football game on the phone.

NFL Sunday tomorrow too. Will no doubt conflict with game #4 of the Jays.

Do you have Picture in Picture?

Have no idea what picture in picture is, IRBS. I binged it and now know it is some type of software and no I do not have it - why?

Watching the Jays pregame show and just heard that the outlook for the weather forecast for today and tomorrow does not look great. Increasing chance of rain throughout the day with an 80% chance by 8PM ET. I understand it would really complicate things should rain postpone another game.

As it turns out I will be able to see a good portion of the 2nd game today as my Riders game doesn't start until 3:30. Yeah, I get to see Stroman play - lots of hype on Sportsnet about him.

Picture in picture is an option on your TV to put a little picture inside the big one. I use it for NFL all the time. Monitor a 2nd game while watching the first.
