I think he will likely be long reliever. If they clinch early, he could be a 6th starter which could be used to setup the playoff rotation.

The only one I could see being removed from the rotation would be Hutchinson, but that is only if he reverted back to his woeful ways on the road. I could also see him getting a spot start for Buehrle since he's mentioned that he's "grinding it through" the past few games. I would give him a break if possible (just not enough so it affects his chances for 200+ innings again).

It's weird. I remember how much he wanted out of Toronto when he first came (due to the dog banning), but now he seems to love it here. And that is before they had their recent success. Even last year, he seemed like a different person (when interviewed, for example). I also think the banning has been removed, so now that he can have his dogs in Ontario with him, he'll be even happier.

I also think that, win or lose this year, they should re-sign him for a couple more years. He's been steady for them, and he brings a good veteran presence in the locker room.

yeah, that makes sense, you mean if a starter has to come out early, he could finish the game, if he can.

yeah, they say he is amazing in the locker room, all of the young players really like him, stroman calls
him his second dad, he is so happy and helpful with everyone, and very even keel.

That is the key to a successful team. You need those mentors to keep you focused, and not let you get a swollen head. That is the main thing I am taking from this team. They are playing as a team (finally) and not as individuals.

I also like Stroman a lot. He's got a terrific attitude and seems like a really nice dude!:)

yes, I like him a lot too, I was so sad for him when he was injured, killed his season, he must have
been devastated when it happened, but he did get a lot of schooling done throughout the year, so all
was not lost.

Just joined the Blue Jays forum.........figured if I was going to cheer for the team, best I know what all the baseball terminology means and it is a great place to find out. Have the TV auto-tuned for the game. Glad there are no CFL games today - and that's the first time I have ever said that - must be Blue Jay fever.

Let's go Blue Jays. Yeah!

I..I...I..I...........I'm hooked on a feelin' .............oh yeah.

Jays are getting their a-s-s-es kicked tonight. Yankees are winning so 1/2 game lead and even in the L column coming up. Wonder if they took Baltimore too lightly?

a bit of a reality check tonight, these games will happen, that will keep them a bit humble,
its good for them.

nice to see stroman there, he was there for the team picture, he is so stoked to be back with the team,
but I think he will still pitch in buffalo.

Including the David Hasselhof version?

I am no fan of David's but you gotta admire someone so willing to make a complete *** of himself and have so much fun doing. I actually laughed through much of the vid........as I danced along to the music.

The guys calling the game mentioned that he is going to pitch in Buffalo, talloola - gives us something extra to look forward to. I agree with your thoughts on the loss tonight. The guys were just a teensy bit off - couple of glitches here and there and up against solid pitching by the Red Birds.

I gotta say he has really funny looking hair.

Seems that our Federal politicians should stick to the campaign trail and away from the ballpark.

The Toronto Blue Jays are 0-3 when federal leaders show up.

If baseball runs so deep in Trudeau's family, why is this his first baseball games with his kids? I have been to at least 1 game each year with my son since 2003 when he was 2 years old. He was there for his photo op.

I guess the only ones left to attend are Elizabeth May and Duceppe but would either of them count enough to uphold the curse?

No politicians in sight and the Jays are up 5 - 0 top of the 6th...........might just be something to the curse after all.

Right back to the their winning ways! Now if the Rays can just hold off the Yanks.

They did. Yin an Yang over the course of time. Jays and Yankees have very similar opponents in different order. The 7 against each other will be huge.

They moved back Strohman again to Monday.

the team had a very solid game today, and price was awesome, loved that catch he made, and
the look on his face immediately following.

I think that was more ball hit right at glove rather than a catch. But when you are playing good, luck tends to follow.

yeah it was to the glove, at warp speed, and if you watch the replay, he made a nice little grab with
that glove, he did react just as fast as the ball was coming, or it might have hit his glove and
bounced away.

a similar hit ball came to the other pitcher a bit later, and he also caught
it, but the ball was travelling quite a bit slower, it was more like all of
those kind of hits.
