If I expanded the radius from three blocks to eight blocks, I could include three Indian Resteraunts,
and several other ethnic resteraunts too, & two other Ethnic Clubs, one being the German Club. I
live in what was once known as "German Town" in Regina...way back in the day and long before

Huh....that's a shame. I worked 242 hours last month, and still manage to have a life.
I'll be meeting family later today in the Serbian Club in Regina. No culture there though,
I guess. Good food & booze and company though, and only a few blocks from my home.

Also, only a few blocks from my home is a Co-op (a Ukrainian Co-op) Ukrainian Co-op
with absolutely fantastic Bratwurst and Kubasa, made on site, and smoked (the Kubasa and
smoked sausages) in a smokehouse right behind the store. Fantastic!!!! This is also only a
few blocks from my home.

Also only a few blocks from my home is a terriffic Sushi resteraunt, right across from a
Japanese Steak House. Cheerios, maybe you just live in the wrong place.....as everything
I've listed above is within a two block radius of my house.

If I expanded that to a three block radius, I could include a pizza joint, and an ethnic Belizian
Resteraunt, and I believe Thia Food joint across the street from that, and a Breakfast place.

I guess it helps that I live in the cultural Mecca of Regina, Saskatchewan though....

I didn't know that....but I know in the summer, when the humidity is high, and the
wind comes from the right direction...the Uke Co-op's sales increase as the
aroma from the smoke house drifts across my neighbourhood. It's Heavenly.

Oh yeah, & the Serb Berger (without Garlic) is still pretty Garlic'y! The one with
Garlic is Fantabulious!!!

It's a wonderful thing indeed. I'd be 300lbs if I lived in your area. When you combine the Uke Co-Op and the bakery it smells like the farm house in the days of my youth.

Easter is coming up fast, try a double smoked ham. Just ask.

I would argue that sushi in Vancouver is a uniquely regional food. I've been to Japan. They got nothing on our sushi here. And there's a sushi shop in Vancouver on practically ever freakin' corner. Oh yeah, Canada is such a great place nowadays. We have a govt that can't wait to be part of the united states of north america, we send our forces into illegal invasions (can't call em wars, war was never declared), we are renowned for inventing hockey but haven't won the cup in how long, and our other national symbol (tim hortons) is now a public company with majority ownership in the US.

I can think of few reasons for anyone in the western world to immigrate here. sure its a good step up if you're from Nigeria or communist China but I don't see any Swedes on their way over en-mass. I am thinking of leaving this once great place before we sink any further into the a*shole of our friends down south. I hear New Zealand is quite nice.

The US and Canada make up the most desirable place people want to immigrate to. Saying you don't want to live here is laughable in that you have obviously never lived else where. There is so much in Canada that you simply can't get else where. To base your statements on something that has so little to do with actually being Canadian like politics and monetary symbolism makes you three look foolish. I dare all of you to tour the national parks of both countries and then tell me there is nothing good about either.

My experience have brought me to know both the finest people in the world and the most beautiful unspoiled wilderness there is on the planet.

Ron's neighbourhood sounds exciting but that is hardly the case in most cities. Someone had referenced Vancouver but literally one needs to live in Downtown Vancouver to have readily access to those European kiosks and markets; in contrast, there are at least 20 times more Asian restaurants, kiosks and markets in the Metro region.



Sounds like Canada was once a good country. A man could purchase a home or farmland with a couple year's of labour. Unfortunately, times have changed and our housing bubbles; much like with the ghost cities and $400,000 Shanghai Condos, resembles that of China and reverse-racists will claim it has nothing to do with Canada's immigration policy which has allowed mainland millionaires to come into Canada by the thousands. Nowadays, ask any real estate salesmen and he'll tell you that 90% of homes are purchased by mainland Chinese millionaires (who often don't reside in Canada but send their children, wives and parents to Canada) and this is true in Vancouver and Toronto.


There are indeed better places in the first world. Canada is an upgrade if you are a dirt farmer in Nigeria but it's otherwise among the worst in the 'developed' world. Sure we have healthcare but I can still keep my citizenship and if I contract aids or become old (80+) than I can just return to Canada to take advantage of it - otherwise; as someone under 30, I've never been to an ER room in my entire life and yet have been paying for the healthcare in form of GST / PST and income tax for the past decades.

My father is 70 yearsold and he still doesn't use the hospital like some 20 yearold ****s who break their bones for fun on the weekend.

The United States has more economic potential, Finland doesn't have a housing bubble (hard to have one when your population is 96% Finnish and 99.8% European) and; even though the wages in Eastern Europe are inferior, a professional can still make a decent wage and expenses are limited if apartment rent is just 200 and monthly groceries can be bought for 100.


"CANADA IS THE BEST YAHHH" *drinks white trash Kokanee* - nope, sorry. I've traveled throughout Europe and the one country that resembles Canada is Denmark and young Danes are often depressed about a lack of future and everything being insanely expensive.

Everything in Canada is simply plain retardly expensive. We are years behind in fashion and yet I can paying $500 for an Italian leather jacket that I could get for 80 Euros in Europe.


|Canada Strong!" doesn't like hearing the facts but there's the reason why most people in the world prefer emmigrating to the United States and the immigrants we do get are often just looking to jump the queue for the United States and/or to screw with our real estate market and drive up the cost of living and depress earning wages.

If they're smart, young Canadians (last I check without immigrants our country would resemble elderly Japan) should just stick the finger at Ottawa and emmigrate - they don't disposess anyone of citizenship, so you can always come back at 60 / 70 to retire.

Then renounce your citizenship and get the fu ck out of my country asshole. You're not needed or wanted.
