Yep, deli meat is mostly crap, two exceptions being head cheese and roast beef.
does that mean they add less chemical and salt or does that mean for those two particular deli items you don't care because you like them and eat them anyway?

I suppose most store bought stuff these days (with the exception of pepper) is probably laced with salt and chemicals. Schneider's head cheese might be another exception. I don't why anyone would want to f**k up roast beef.

the salt is a preservative and people are now so accustomed to eating it in such huge quantities that they no longer taste it. I judge how good restaurant food is when I go home later in the evening. If I feel like drinking a gallon of water, I don't go back there. That need to drink is caused by the sodium in the food. Lately we have found two restaurants in town where I don't need to drink a gallon of water later and where we can split some of the food instead of eating the two portions contained on the plate.

we have bugged M&M's for years to reduce the amount of sodium that they add to their chicken breasts...he claims it is necessary to preserve it and that they have reduced it as far as their customers will support

I have switched now to chicken breasts that "claim" they don't add the chemicals or the salt... they cost a fortune because they are not mass produced.

it's frustrating...

if halal produced chicken is healthier to eat because it contains no blood I'd be super happy ... but then I wouldn't eat at a Subway unless we were traveling and desperate. Once in a while when I crave junk I will eat it or other fast food. I mostly try to avoid all of that poison. I would like to die healthy.

The easiest solution would be for Britain to outlaw halal meat just as many other European countries have.

We should also ban the burka as well, again just like several other European countries have. Halal and the burka should have no place in modern Britain.

Only if they start with exporting bigoted idiots. To that Island I have mentioned from time to time. The one that is barely visible at high tide.

eeeeeeer, extra digits come in handy....not so sure I would counsel that... what book had people with all of the extra digits and heads ... Day of the Triffids or The Chrysalids or, A Canticle for Liebowitz...one of those... it's been too long...I should read those again...they were good 40 years ago...lol

That is the best way to die, although rarely occurs.
sadly,

I live in a building with lots of elderly...one of our morning swim group got carted off yesterday in an ambulance, found out this morning she has lung cancer. (which I suspected months ago due to her symptoms)....doubt she will be back...those oldsters sure do last a while though even when sick

I hope I am walking down the street and my heart explodes...that's what happened last month to one of my neighbours... got to the car after dinner out, opened the door and never made it quite into the car seat...oops....dead
