They had a choice to impeach him for bribery, which is what he did, instead of "abuse of power," which is a meaningless term.

Valid point.

I think bribery would have been better as it's more specific, but I think abuse of power also fits since, really, he did use the power of his office in ways that were abusive to what it's supposed to be.

Maybe it should have been three articles.

How about the FACT the Democraps are as corrupt as the Republicans? That's the salient message in the whole charade! :)

I doubt you'll find people who will not agree that both Dems and Repubs can be corrupt.

That's not the point though.

No it isn't the point....... In fact it is irrelevant. That is just a Trump talking point. Distract by bringing u the dems and their faults. If they can't beat them with brains.......they baffle them with BS.

Trump's cult rally revealed even more Trump insanity. Talk about insane rage and scattering allover the map........and into dishwashers. If that is his stream of consciousnesses..........he needs psych help. ( but that has been obvious for sometime ..........but just getting worse. He has no boundaries..........

sadly ......as long as the American's wallets are feeling comfortable.......they will accept all kinds of insanity in their leader. This time they have hit insanity pay dirt.

He should be impeached for Obvious incoherence. he thinks his crazy one liners are actually funny..............when they are sadistically cruel and meant to be that way.

Well, I can't feel too sorry for Donald. It didn't take a huge brain to see the Dems were out to get him right from the get go. If he'd have started "cooling it" about 6 months ago he probably wouldn't be in the predicament he is today. He'll likely recover or he won't!
lol If he'd been been respectful of working Americans, the Constitution, and the rule of law in the first place instead of treating the office of the president like a weapon with which to boss and bully people and countries, he wouldn't have been in the predicament he is in. But, he's a failure as a husband, a human being, a businessman, and now as a president. I hope he has leaned something and wish him better luck in the future, but I have my doubts.

Well it would be a good thing for the democrats to politic on the impeachment issue .
Hey send me back to Washington , I have done a great job as your representative, we have spent the last 3 1/2 years investigating Trump on made up charges of Russian collusion , changing to Ukrainian Quid Pro Quo , and when that fell flat we impeached him on made up charges . We didn’t pass any legislation of meaning in that time , but hey send me back as your representative so I can continue to work on your behalf .
Not enough evidence for an indictment id not the same as not guilty. It's kind of funny you can't figure out the difference.
Mick Mulvaney, "Yes, there was quid pro quo. Get over it".
I know you wish it all was just hot air, but reality sucks sometimes. lol

He is not capable of learning from negative experiences.......as in his mind he twists them to favor him.He takes no responsibility for his actions........but soaks up any kind of praise......even it he spins things into self praise.

IF the Dems wanted to impeach him.since he was elected..........they have a bloody good reason for it. He is not fit for the job.......he newer was. He does not have the disposition, the intelligence the experience the knowledge base or the personality for it. He LOST the popular vote......and THAT still bothers him.

It is a bit strange to see how Putin lines himself up with Trump supporters.......... He is using Trump talkingpoints about the impeachment.

So if there was Quid Pro Quo , why is that not in the drafted articles ?

And if there is not enough evidence , how have you already determined his guilt ?
Maybe you are allowing emotion ( Trump hatred ) to form opinion .

But he won the only metric that counts , the Electoral College, and is the duly elected President of the United States of America . Doesn’t that still just burn your craw ? You and the Democrats still haven’t recovered from that fateful November evening three short years ago . Trump Trump Trump . Get on with life .

You are the one who told a poster F U and the ass you rode in on . That in my mind is testy .

You know, pgs, the Ironic thing is a lot of posters are ACTUALLY more ignorant and obnoxious than Trump is in his worst moments!

Trump receives most votes ever for impeachment.

Finally wins a popular vote.

I would think it would be the wife's prerogative to decide if he's a failure or not as a husband, or does she have to get that "cleared" through you?

Evangelical magazine founded by Billy Graham calls for Trump's removal

An editorial published Thursday by Christianity Today, a magazine founded by the late Rev. Billy Graham, called for President Trump's removal from office in the wake of his impeachment, deeming him "grossly immoral."
"We have reserved judgment on Mr. Trump for years now. Some have criticized us for our reserve. But when it comes to condemning the behavior of another, patient charity must come first. ... To use an old cliché, it’s time to call a spade a spade, to say that no matter how many hands we win in this political poker game, we are playing with a stacked deck of gross immorality and ethical incompetence."
Why it matters: Christianity Today is an influential mainstream magazine for evangelicals, with 4.3 million monthly visitors on its site and hundreds of thousands of print subscribers. President Trump won 81% of the evangelical vote in 2016, a group that makes up about 25% of the electorate, according to the Pew Research Center.

  • Billy Graham's son, Franklin, is an ardent supporter of President Trump. He told "Axios on HBO" in November that he supports the president because he "defends the faith."
Highlights: The editorial calls Christianity Today's stance a moral choice — similar to how the magazine reacted when former President Bill Clinton was impeached.

  • "[T]he facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral."
  • "Trump’s evangelical supporters have pointed to his Supreme Court nominees, his defense of religious liberty, and his stewardship of the economy, among other things, as achievements that justify their support of the president. ... None of the president’s positives can balance the moral and political danger we face under a leader of such grossly immoral character."
  • "That [Trump] should be removed, we believe, is not a matter of partisan loyalties but loyalty to the Creator of the Ten Commandments."

The whole country has noticed pelosi is holding back the articles of impeachment

"The senate shall set the time and place for a trial, if the democrats in their great wisdom refuse to show up, they lose by default." - Trump.
