Nope, check the link; it's updated law.

Nope.

I recognize that people adore their metallic sookie blankets and their recreational weapons.

I also recognize that there are still loopholes into nutcases getting a hold of weapons and using them to slaughter people and I think it needs to be tidied up.
Yes called the border and gangs .

Right , meaning correct . Thanks for the compliment .
holy shit. If you are considered far right there has been a massive polar shift in the definitions of right and left. I consider most of us to be somewhere in the middle, mostly fiscal conservatives but fairly liberal or libertarian about social issues that don't include massive infusions of tax dollars.
Walmart is maybe right wing. Christian conservative anyway.

Tell us how, even a complete ban on all weapons in Canada, would have stopped the Nova Scotia Dentist.

I honestly don't know because the investigation is still ongoing.

From what I have heard though, this guy stockpiled weapons all over the place, and drugs as well, allegedly. But I don't know how he got said guns - legal or otherwise - so again, dunno.

Also, not a ban on all weapons in Canada, but nice try.

I did check the link it took me to this from 1995

Firearms Act
S.C. 1995, c. 39

Assented to 1995-12-05

You are happy with current laws. Thank you.

*facepalm*

No you didn't READ the link; if anything, you skimmed.

There are updates and repeals from after 95.

You also missed this:

Firearms Act (S.C. 1995, c. 39)

Full Document:

Act current to 2020-06-28 and last amended on 2019-06-21. Previous Versions

Again, I'm not happy with the current laws, but try harder.

That is just one of many problems we find with the gun laws, lack of clarity. Also the way the new rules were introduced without any consultation with gun owners, our elected representitives or sporting goods store owners.

And yet I read that it had been consulted before all this happened.

Specifically if you scroll down to Regulatory Development, the first paragraph is "Consultation" and this is the first sentence:

Extensive public engagement on the issue of banning handguns and assault-style firearms, led by the then Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction, took place between October 2018 and February 2019 with the provinces and territories, municipalities, Indigenous groups, law enforcement, community organizations, and industry.

.... So... take from that what you will then.

Holy fu ck. It's already been reported the drugs and weapons were smuggled from the states. If you're going to comment on a subject, do try and keep up and be informed.

Re read what exactley my question was. I never stated or insinuated that a full ban was on the table.

And its idiots like you that is the reason Trudeau and company are able to pull the crap they pull and are able to get away with it. I dont know what the hell happens when one lives east of Manitoba. It's as if ones brain stops working.

I don't know and if you want to know, go look and post it.

I just said that it WAS consulted, as per the report listed.

If it's refused, then you're breaking the law *shrug* and that's on you.

Which is why I said "last I knew". Sorry I don't keep UTD on this every second of the day.

That's what you said.

You asked how even a complete ban on all weapons.

I just said there wasn't a ban on all weapons. So that makes your question rather moot really.

I didn't vote Trudeau so honestly, blame that crap somewhere else.

Telling us what they plan to do isn't consultation.
