Senior Iranian general killed by Islamic State in Syria - Tehran

By: Ethan Allen and...
Tags:ing from the front. You will NEVER see an American officer in this day and age do the same. They might get hurt.
A general for Iran's Revolutionary Guards has been killed by ISIS in Syria, the guards said in a Friday statement. General Hossein Hamedani was reportedly advising President Bashar Assad's army on its fight against the militant group.
Hamedani's death was confirmed in a statement carried by Iranian media.

Working through Jordan and Lebanon training and arming anti Assad non ishole Syrians fighting alongside Hezbollah.

I don't think so. Check your facts man.

When was the last time a NATO General died while serving on the front line with the men he had trained himself?

Never! None to my knowledge. How stupid it would be to do that. I bet you won't see any Russian Generals getting killed in Syria either. Well as long as he is far from a Russian cruise missile strike. The Russians are too smart to do that... aren't they?

I'm surprised you didn't say there is the first Iranian soldier to be 'ready to come home'.

I would never say that as that makes no sense whatsoever. lol.

US Officers get killed all the time in Iraq and Afghanistan!

What a stupid statement.

You're just in mourning I think.... maybe shock.

Wonder if there will ever come a time when the world will grow the fvck up and learn to stop killing each other. I'd like to have a time machine. To either go far into the future, or far into the past. Anyways I have no idea what the US should do. It's a catch 22. I would lean toward being involved in helping those who cannot help themselves. The innocent victims of mans' stupidity towards each other.

It seems to be easier to direct other people to fight and shoot people than to sit down and think about ways to solve problems. Well, that's my hypothesis anyways, Ludlow.

"The Syria Thread: Everything you wanted to know or say about it". It's probably hot in the summer there.
There, I said something about Syria.

That would require people talking with each other and not at each other. The roadblock to that of course being the ego seasoned with a splash of self interest. I do agree with you though.

Probably not Ludlow. IMO let the Russians and Iranians deal with Syria. Why we supported the "Moderate" rebels is beyond me.

I agree with some things. Russia will certainly pound ISIS. Their SF are better than anything that ISIS has. And even though they are having aim problems, what they lack in accuracy the Russian AF will make up in quantity.

Any Kurd rebellion in Turkey will be crushed but I am doubtful that happens.

War in West Bank... puh-leze.

More Iranian help in Yemen means more dead Iranians.

General Hamadani : Our enemies don't know we are competing to be shahid , they don't know we are Independent .

I guess the good general found out that fighting against ISIS was a bit different than gunning down Iranian civilians. Maybe he is serving them figs as we speak?

A Russian cruise missile perhaps?

One week!? You mean one week from now the Russians will have this wrapped up? ISIS will be finished in Syria?!

Oh dear... oh Beav. You better turn the internet off.

The hired guns are slithering away in droves now that US air supply and attack elements have stopped. After that I guess Israel will have to put US boots on the ground.

They would be on the front lines if the front line was in Russia. Generals always come in groups so you can lose a few and it doesn't break the machine.

This would be the 'cannon fodder ' left behind to take the blame. The bad asses would have been in the refugee groups.

It's very hard to understand the next move by the USA. It will be something sleezy though. Like an attack on some highschool students. Uncle Sham needs another excuse like the twin towers another Pearl Harbour maybe.

I wonder when we'll see a carrier sunk? any bets?

We'll hear about the dead general for weeks.

Of course it was require discussion. lol I could have mentioned that part.
I told a friend who is an ex-marine and was in action in Iraq that it's really brave of political and religious leaders to direct her and others to fight and kill rather than they themselves battling it out in a room (being a little sarcastic). She laughed and said that is the way things should be in an ideal world. She can't watch much violence on tv or in movies since. And she has a few physical scars, as well.
She also hates with extreme passion G Dumbya, Cheney, and whoever else that had a hand in causing that war.

Well with the Caspian Sea Fleet firing cruise missiles I think there is a darn good chance the Admiral Kuznetsov gets hit! lol

They would be on the front lines if the front line was in Russia.

Of course they would be. But in Syria... not a chance. The Iranians however, they've never been that smart.
