And one last time, the correct phraseology would be,

"I understand the concept of mathematics, but when it comes to differential calculus I am lost."

I still don't see what 'I commonly understand' mean.

The phrase 'commonly' is similar to 'usually', 'many times' etc. Now, does one really say 'I usually understand', or 'I many times understand' etc.? Either I understand or I don't.

Anyway show me a serious literary reference and I would be convinced.
Well I'll be damned the literacy web page has grammatical errors.. They really do need your help so why aren't you volunteering?
From Project Read Literacy Network--Literacy Facts

Approximately 20% of those collection Employment Insurance and 40% of social assistance recipients fall into the lowest levels of literacy.

They could really use the help in Waterloo.

57% of adults in Waterloo Region 16 years and over fall in the two lowest levels of literacy.

You'll recall there being only one path Cliffy and that path is your own individual unique conciousness/awareness. So there are as many paths as there are minds but only one for you or me and it can't ever be the same for all, it being a construct of the individual soul/mind. IMO
Precisely!

There is nothing to explain, JLM. Just show me a serious literary source which uses the phrase 'I commonly understand', and I will agree.
2 pages later and you are still nitpicking about "I commonly understand"? Jeeeez.
Perhaps if you'd take a synonym of "commonly" and replace "commonly" with the synonym, you might understand the phrase:
like "I regularly understand", "I frequently understand", "I generally understand", or "I normally understand". Okay? All better now?

Just as Hey Zeus said:

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it (Matthew 7:13, 14).

So that kinda ruins the "believe and you ae guaranteed" as the religio show biz "hosts" would like you think.

Did you actually believe what you were saying? It didn't sound like there was much conviction in your words.:p

Maybe try losing all your knowledge and go strictly on the idea that you know everything are bulletproof and the world owes you something?

That's what thinking young is ............. or you can just get drunk which works really quickly.

Zeus said that? Where was Matthew?
Nice guy, huh? "I'm gonna make a place that will make everyone feel elated 24/7 but to get into it, everyone has to quit being human." I think I'd sooner worship Jimmy Buffet. He's a nice and friendly guy. :)

lol Nah, I'm a realist (at least sometimes). The precepts of biology don't permit a reversal of physiological aging; I'd have to cease to exist as a human.
I'd like to be a silver surfer. That looks like fun; scooting about the universe on a surfboard. Awesome! (That is the unrealist part of me).

That is a matter of some deep very very deeeeeep research. All the biological mechanisms are in the body to reproduce healthy tissue as the worn out degrades all you got to do is turn it on and feed the right building materials into the body. You will recall the great ages attributed to those bible guys of old. What conditions allowed there long lives? The atmosphere was different then the gravity was different the food was different the cosmic rays were different and the earths fields were different. So then was different than now. I'd like to be young again without the inconveinience of reincarnation.:-(

It isn't as easy as that, your cellular reproductive parts age, too so they don't replace old cells as fast as they themselves get older.

Fudging of historical records.

I read a thing somewhere where someone suggested that we are backwards and should start out really old and then get younger. We'd be wise, then get healthier, have a lot of fun, and then slip into a nice warm place that loved us do death. :D (carlin maybe?)
