Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's Yale roommate says he believes second accuser

Monday, September 24, 2018 03:29PM
SAN MATEO, Calif. (KGO) --
Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's roommate from Yale says he believes the second woman accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

WATCH LIVE THURSDAY: Brett Kavanaugh, Christine Blasey Ford Senate hearing

James Roche says he was Kavanaugh's roommate in the Fall of 1983.

"We shared a two-bedroom unit in the basement of Lawrence Hall on the Old Campus. Despite our living conditions, Brett and I did not socialize beyond the first few days of freshman year. We talked at night as freshman roommates do and I would see him as he returned from nights out with his friends," Roche said in a statement.

He went on to describe how Kavanaugh conducted himself while they shared a living space.

"It is from this experience that I concluded that although Brett was normally reserved, he was a notably heavy drinker, even by the standards of the time, and that he became aggressive and belligerent when he was very drunk. I did not observe the specific incident in question, but I do remember Brett frequently drinking excessively and becoming incoherently drunk."

I have no doubt that he was probably guilty of something, he just knew how to pick stupid victims who couldn't present a plausible story.

Didn't Jian show video of him consentually abusing some woman to his bosses at the CBC? Because he was worried women were talking about him? To prove to CBC management it was consentual? Which got him fired because they realized he was a sadist? Which started the whole coming forward of women? I think so.

Could be that Kavanaugh sees it in the same manner. He obviously has a low opinion of women or he wouldn't advocate for taking women's reproductive rights away from them.

Is reproductive rights code for killing babies in the womb ?

I think that the witness against the judge was 110 percent credible. It would not surprise me that 75% of TV viewers believe her as well.

The judge might just decide to wait it out and lose the senate vote on confirmation just so he can keep his job as an appeals judge which he now has and blame the loss of the senate vote as being political. If the judge withdraws, he could not very well expect to keep his job as an appeals judge.

Kavanaugh is perjuring himself right now.

He'll make a brilliant addition to the Trump line-up.

Kavanagh is outdoing Thomas in his statement. Absolutely brilliant. Wow!

You might be on a "slippery slope" with that one. I find a lot of people advocating for women's rights totally ignore or soft pedal the fetus's rights! :)

The first five minutes of his testimony was about the visceral hatred from all over that Kavanaugh has experienced during his confirmation process. This does not happen to most ... hardly any, in fact ... nominees to the Supreme Court. He basically told us all why he shouldn't have the job. Someone so divisive is just more poison to now already ailing America.

The rest of his presentation up to the present moment is about how much HE has been hurt. It's teary-eyed sniveling about ME, MY the harm done to ME!

That tells us he's fit to be a Supreme Court Justice , the snivelling baby? You've got to be kidding. He's another Trumpeting narcissist.ME! MY! I!

No class. Probably a liar as well as being a craven coward.

Whoa Nelly...................this is high drama..........bet the TV ratings will be outta sight. Kavanaugh is toast, Walter. His performance here has been little more than abysmal. The rant by Maxwell? I think was, had me glued to my seat in astonishment. Talk about visceral. The only question I have is did the Dems have this 'letter' and if so, why did they sit on it for 2 months if not for political reasons.

What is killing his nomination Walter is his continuing refusal to agree to an FBI investigation. Whether or not there should be one, his evasiveness in his answers to the question make him look shifty. His body language is all wrong too..........way too much shifting around in his seat.

I'm waiting for Kavanaugh to blurt out that the FBI are biased to the Left and that he won't get a fair assessment for him OR his star-spangled President.

That ought to cook his goose as a potential Supreme Court Justice.
