The popcorn's pretty good. Nice that the weather cleared up for this.*

* They predicted clear weather today. It's belting down rain. I think the Judiciary Committee did the weather forecasting.

What is killing his nomination Walter is his continuing refusal to agree to an FBI investigation. Whether or not there should be one, his evasiveness in his answers to the question make him look shifty. His body language is all wrong too..........way too much shifting around in his seat.
He decided to full-on Trump, from the hissy fit to the conspiracy theories.

Wonder if it'll work.

I'm waiting for Kavanaugh to blurt out that the FBI are biased to the Left and that he won't get a fair assessment for him OR his star-spangled President.
That ought to cook his goose as a potential Supreme Court Justice.
Six times the FBi has said Kavanagh is clean.

I never realized what a major league flaming asshole Graham, is. How the feck are you going to get that sort of thing out of your politics before it rends your republic asunder?

Six times investigated by the FBI.

Thanks for the reds, Walter............I consider them a badge of honor ;-)

Walter, your candidate is not doing well.........at all. You are an intelligent person. You have to see that Kavanaugh is floundering...........badly. Compared to the extreme composure of Dr Ford, Kavanaugh comes off as a ranting egoist. He does have his backers though and they've been stalwart in his defence.

Edit: It was Senator Lindsey Graham who lost his nut when coming to the defense of Kavanaugh - not Maxwell as I wrote previously.

I also heard an interesting reply to those who are ranting about the all white male committee. Apparently, these guys have been on that committee for a long time........a very long time in some cases. Not one of them was selectively chosen to sit on it in order to question Dr Ford.

Doubt it, Tec. I don't believe him. Better he had simply come out when all this got started and said something like - "I really made some mistakes when I was younger and I hurt people. My behavior then was unacceptable and I am truly sorry to all those I harmed." But he didn't. By now he is well aware that his chances are slim to none of being nominated.

Worse than that, he's probably perjured himself, which is a crime.

It all depends on Collins, Corker, Flake, and Murkowski.

Tromp doesn't like this "#MeToo" stuff. Look what it does to his friends?

Well I thought both parties were believable , to an extent . I also believe both are no better for the experience . Republicans will hold onto the lack of evidence and Democrats will believe Ford . Nothing was gained here but dirty politics at the expense of the American public .Gutter politics in the extreme from both sides .

The four senators Collins, flake, Murkowski and Joe are meeting right now to discuss the hearings.

I was shocked by the virulence of some of Kavanaugh's supporters, pgs. Graham was close to spitting he was so angry. But he wasn't alone in his vehement support of the nominee and total condemnation of the Dems. High drama indeed.

Well, I've spent much of the day both listening to it on the radio and watching it on the idiot box and quite frankly I'm on the fence. One thing that is fairly obvious is they BOTH seem to believe what they are saying. To Kavanaugh's advantage there are 60 women supporting him who knew him in school or college. What it will probably boil down to is innocent until proven guilty or put another way he said, she said! The entire charade is probably a waste of time.

Graham claimed he'd never seen such politics in a supreme court pick. What about Garland? Convenient he forgot about that. 8 months the republicans refused to let his nomination go through.

You're right about that. Maybe, Trump should find a balanced, middle-of-the-road candidate acceptible to both parties?

AHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
