Re: Trump suggests assassinating Clinton

Will Smith just threatened to kill every Trump supporter. That's the only thing he could mean when he said, " We get to know who people are and now we get to cleanse it out of our country", right MentalCase?

We all know that "cleanse" is simply a euphemism for mass murder when it comes to people or "cleansing a country". Sounds like Smith is an admirer of just about every despot that ever existed. No wonder he supports Hitlery.

Will Smith isn't running for president, Godwin.

It would have been more effective speech if it was given in Flint as his entrance into the race for Prez, running as an independent with a cgi company as his biggest backer.
If you knock somebodies stance you should be able to provide the better alternative.

I don't know how everyone else feels. I know catchy titles to threads stir people's interest and get people thinking but I really think titles that are downright lies should get sanctioned. There's too many misnomers in the world w/o some hot dog wanting to add to the ignorance and confusion. I suggest moderators take a closer look and do necessary editing where appropriate. Titles such as the above are just hateful!

Re: Trump suggests assassinating Clinton

When I read statements like this, I'm reminded of a day in junior high school. We had the typical bigger, older guy, who was pretty slow, in the class. One day, one of the nasty bullies was giving him a hard time. The teacher said, "dana, if someone did that to me, I'd punch him in the head'. So, of course, the big guy did exactly that. And, of course, the teacher was horrified.

When the principal asked the class what happened, we all said, 'Kevin was bullying him, and the teacher said that if someone did that to him, he'd punch him in the head, so, no surprise, Dana punched Kevin in the head.'

Sometimes, people should consider their words.

True but you don't tell people they taste like Caviar!

American political leaders tell Americans exactly that.

Godwin? I'm not the one that jumped to nazism. Do you think Hitler is the only idiot to "cleanse the country"?
So apparently there's a line. If you're running for President, you can't refer to the NRA as a powerful lobby group and it's members as a powerful voting bloc without a bunch of shrill dickweeds screaming that you're exhorting your followers to kill someone.
But if you're not running for President ( but still live in the spotlight) it's ok to call for the extermination of those whose political views are contrary to yours.

Let's take Smith's rhetoric and change the group and circumstances and let's see if it's any less offensive. "We know who's responsible for the largest proportional representation of crime in the US, and now that we know who they are, we can cleanse it out of the country".

You should try to read the text, and not between the line, and your analogy is way Off...

Unless of course you're a Democrat then they're just kidding or their comments are being taken out of context.

“He is one dangerous man and we need to take him seriously. Take him out now.” ~ Democrat Sen. Liz Warren

Re: Trump suggests assassinating Clinton

Yup. Allow me to demonstrate. . .

(emphasis mine).
I calls 'em as I sees 'em. Let's see, four "suicides" in less than a month by people connected to the DNC leaks or with knowledge of Hitlery's dirty dealings with Russia and various Middle East nations and factions. Her control (or the party's control) of much of the MSM sure looks a lot like state run media. Then we have the barricades at DNC rallies to keep her political opponents out, in this case Bernie supporters. She doesn't deal well at all with facts or reality.
Then there's the possibility she contracted syphilis from Bill. Syphilis being yet another similarity. Then there's her bizarre sense of entitlement where she said she "deserves" to be President.

All the classic makings of a despot.
