What we need here in Canada is a big heaping spoonful of socialism coupled with a few trillion in debt
What we need is to kick Quebec out of Canada.. that will free up a lot of funds for "REAL" Canadians.

What's a REAL Canadian?..PS - Wouldn't break my heart if Que or Alberta (or any province/territory) wanted to leave... The dynamic in this nation is completely dysfunctional
You went to a lot of work to expose your shortcomings :lol:STFU! You're a joke..

Flossie is still #1 with "Official" threads......
Well personally I think it would be interesting to see Alberta join up with the USA.
It would fair off better, be able to get it's resources out of the ground under a Trump administration..
Peter Zeihan says Alberta would be better off as 51st U.S. state - Calgary - CBC News
The next election may very well be a referendum here in Alberta as separatist groups start to surface.
No argument there.. think that was my 1st "OFFICIAL THREAD"
It was a poke at Flossy..
AB or any other province doesn't need to join the US and start serving another master.,, Simple business relationships can be set up (as it really should be now) without the Fed gvt(s) getting their destructive noses in the way.
Kevin O'Leary would be okay, but he really should be living here. In that way, he's the Conservative version of Ignatieff.
Actually in Canada everything is run out of the Prime Minister's office . A majority parliament gives the winning party hence their leader unfettered control for the extent of their time in office . We tend to elect a dictator every 4 to 5 years and are surprised by the results .O'Leary does live here. Or at least, he has a home, with his family, in Toronto, as well as a cottage in the Muskokas. He also has a home in Boston and one in Geneva.
For me, the major problem I have with him is he seems to know nothing about how government operates. He thinks he's running for president, and once in office he can order everyone else in the party to do what he wants. That's not hte case here. He's an outsider, and he needs to work with people, something he's never demonstrated an ability to do. He's also way too liberal on issues like the military an immigration. He clearly has no respect for the military, and is an enthusiast of open immigration - apparently because he thinks that's good for banks.
A strong and competent leader should have a basic understanding of primary Ministries, however, the most critical role is that of a manager that is able to source/secure the best advisors that are capable of designing policy, programs and a plan to roll them out in a timely and effective manner.
From this perspective, O'Leary is more than qualified to act as PM as opposed to those public servants that have been programmed to keep trying the same ineffective strategies that have landed us in the soup
Heaven help us if he's chosen as the conservative leader; it'll mean Trudeau will be in for some time. While I don't know yet who I'm going to vote for, it certainly is not him. I'm narrowing it down little by little but it needs to be someone who can defeat Trudeau and his minions who don't have a clue what they're doing.
JMHO
Trudeau is getting a minority government next election
Yeah, but who's going to form the opposition? Unless the Conservatives improve their image and message, it ain't going to be them.
At this point if i could vote for the Bloc i would... Canadian politics, eh?
