What's a REAL Canadian?..PS - Wouldn't break my heart if Que or Alberta (or any province/territory) wanted to leave... The dynamic in this nation is completely dysfunctional
Well personally I think it would be interesting to see Alberta join up with the USA.
It would fair off better, be able to get it's resources out of the ground under a Trump administration..

O'Leary does live here. Or at least, he has a home, with his family, in Toronto, as well as a cottage in the Muskokas. He also has a home in Boston and one in Geneva.
For me, the major problem I have with him is he seems to know nothing about how government operates. He thinks he's running for president, and once in office he can order everyone else in the party to do what he wants. That's not hte case here. He's an outsider, and he needs to work with people, something he's never demonstrated an ability to do. He's also way too liberal on issues like the military an immigration. He clearly has no respect for the military, and is an enthusiast of open immigration - apparently because he thinks that's good for banks.
A strong and competent leader should have a basic understanding of primary Ministries, however, the most critical role is that of a manager that is able to source/secure the best advisors that are capable of designing policy, programs and a plan to roll them out in a timely and effective manner.
From this perspective, O'Leary is more than qualified to act as PM as opposed to those public servants that have been programmed to keep trying the same ineffective strategies that have landed us in the soup

Actually in Canada everything is run out of the Prime Minister's office . A majority parliament gives the winning party hence their leader unfettered control for the extent of their time in office . We tend to elect a dictator every 4 to 5 years and are surprised by the results .
Yep, we S.A.F. don't want some A$$hole for P.M. who has spent any time as a bureaucrap. On the flip side, we'd have to be careful to determine what is on Kevin's agenda & if it includes anything that benefits him more so than the country.
Heaven help us if he's chosen as the conservative leader; it'll mean Trudeau will be in for some time. While I don't know yet who I'm going to vote for, it certainly is not him. I'm narrowing it down little by little but it needs to be someone who can defeat Trudeau and his minions who don't have a clue what they're doing.

After the electorate gets to take a look at the debt amassed by that time, I highly doubt it, Johnny. Since Rona Ambrose can't run I think Lisa Raitt is probably the best bet.
