Actually in Canada everything is run out of the Prime Minister's office . A majority parliament gives the winning party hence their leader unfettered control for the extent of their time in office . We tend to elect a dictator every 4 to 5 years and are surprised by the results .

Only if the people in caucus act like sheep. And right now nobody in caucus likes him. Nobody in caucus owes him anything.

A strong and competent leader should have a basic understanding of primary Ministries,

I haven't seen much sign of leadership skills from O'Leary, not much competence, for that matter.

Exactly who are you to act as judge, jury and executioner on this?
Who am I to give my opinions? LOL. Did you just ask that? LOL

Tell ya what, do one better and forward your ideas on what/who would be in the nation's best interests

As for which of the Tory candidates would be best, I'm wavering between Scheer and O'Toole. Either, of course, would do better than Trudeau. Then again, a one-eyed goat would do better than the shiny pony.

Is an idiot. So? That's no reason to replace him with another idiot.

BUT- the odds are about 100/1 we could end up with a brighter Idiot. :)

I wouldn't cross the street to vote for O'leery. Too egotistical for my liking.

I would vote for O'leary to help the stuipid commit suicide. He's so obviously of the great lizard., the old snake what used to eat our babies, whenever it was hungry

I would love to see him maintain a political commentary show, but I think he is not politician enough to survive politics.

Yes he may be an idiot to your standards.. but guess what, HE IS OUR PRIME MINISTER.. the leader of Canada.. and what do you do again?[/IMG]

Support myself completely, as I have for many years, without my daddy's money, and without my daddy's connections, and pay very high taxes while doing so. And there is nothing about Trudeau's skillset, education or abilities which exceeds mine except that he's considerably more photogenic.

Scarey thought, but i'm more qualified than a substitute teacher.

At what exactly?

Are you? Here are Trudeau's educational credentials. Can you match them? And you do realize that as the son of a millionaire Trudeau chose to work because he wanted to and not because he had to.

University and early career

Trudeau has a bachelor of arts degree in literature from McGill University and a bachelor of education degree from the University of British Columbia. In his first year at McGill, Trudeau became acquainted with his future Principal Secretary Gerald Butts, through their mutual friend, Jonathan Ablett and Butts invited Trudeau to join the McGill Debating Union. They bonded while driving back to Montreal after a debate tournament at Princeton University in which the Princeton team included Ted Cruz, a candidate for the U.S. Republican Party's presidential nomination in 2016. After graduation, he stayed in Vancouver and he found substitute work at several local schools and permanent work as a French and math teacher at the private West Point Grey Academy and was roommates at the Douglas Lodge with fellow West Point Grey Academy faculty member and friend Christopher Ingvaldson. From 2002 to 2004, he studied engineering at the École Polytechnique de Montréal, a part of the Université de Montréal. He also started a master's degree in environmental geography at McGill University, before suspending his program to seek public office.
