Yes of course working both sides has historically been a money maker. However a great many Russians know how to read history, so the gig is a bit stale to say the least.

Why have we stopped destroying the little countries to save Ukraine?
You mean they read? ... better than those read necks eh?

I have a feeling a new phrase might enter the English language: to pull a Putin.

Definition: to invade a part of a country that you know (maybe because your national intelligence agency informed you of it?) will support you, call a referendum, and then annex it with the will of its people.

It could also be used as an anti separatist plan too ;)

You do realize that this is just the first step of increased tensions, cold war all over again with Russia.
Next 10 years will be interesting.
As the EU weans themselves of Russian Gas the tensions will increase.

And you already have a fleet stationed there by mutual agreement. God moves in mysterious ways eh.

No things are different . From what I heard said , that before the Soviet union was a closed economy , not so much now. They depend on foreign investments now .... viva la capitalism and world market

Too late to think of this now but seeming that Ukraine are strapped for cash , they could of sold it instead

That might be why Russia never invaded. I see Putin repeating Bush Jr.'s mistake, thinking that 'our country can make its own rules'. Your country isolates itself when it does that, even if it's goal was ostensibly democratic.

Every Stan in the former USSR sat up and took notice on the reasoning used in Crimea.
How long before they start looking for security guarantees.
And as the are loaded with gas reserves, pipelines to the EU. What is Russia left with.
Russia over the next 10 years loses.
Their economy is broken. The oil/gas revenues keep it going.
Their manufacturing base is outdated and is in desperate need of investment and technology - where from - the west- the same applies to their oil/gas tech. Out of date.

You sure you passed that reading course?

If Russia dumped their USD the US would shake and roll, if China followed suit we would be the poorest hemisphere in the world. We would be looking for aid coming from Haiti

Not going to happen. China is now in the midst of changing their economy from export driver to consumer driven.

China holds too many green backs not to bail out when the dollar crashes and Russia could start that all on it's own by ditching all the USD.

China won't be stopping the export business except to the US.

And then a world wide depression. Guess what happen when all those so called peasants in China ain't working or able to feed their families. Makes the Russian Revolution pale by comparison.

Oh', I'm pretty sure I posted something about his hypocrisy. I even suggested we not pay any eransom if he gets abducted while licking the asses of the new leaders.

Did you get permission to publish that statistic? It seems like something like that should be classified as secret.

It is classified sure, but even so, nobody cares what Canada says, does or how savagely it beats it's breast to um, look the part, hang-out with the cool kids and such...well except for steve's mom maybe.
