Fine example of a spiritual Nepal snapping. I'm not an expert but I'm thinking that setting a new level of insanity was not a good thing to be doing. However in this case I bow to you being far superior to me in that field. I can understand why plough-boys and little judges wouldn't grab your attention.

There is a historical account and it was written by men seventy years after
Jesus left the human stage of life. People are putting their existence in
some very dubious hands to simply believe every statement and phrase.
I don't differ so much many of the events as I do with the handed down
human translations of such scenes. Like everything else it was a great
ideal but as for all one hundred percent literal? No

If the early church had not forced literal belief in pushing only the 4 main gospels, the church would not have helped usher in the Dark Ages and Inquisition.

Literalism killed the search for God by those who decided to be idol worshipers instead of the God seekers that one of the archetypal Jesus' preached we should all be.

Your first sentence is lacking the same proof you are demanding I show. The fact that the book tells the same story to a believer and non-believer makes your argument somewhat judgmental before the trial even starts.
Literalism can only go one way, the spiritual version can be anything you want it to be as long as not one 'event' is literal. I've read it quite a bit and I believe it to be literal and I am a lot of things but stupid is not one of them. If I say to get the literal version in the quickest and most straight forward way is to look at it in a certain way and then guide your reading and discussion.
You end up with a short list of main topics. God and where we fit in as far as the beginning and end of this earth is concerned. To do that you only need Ge:1-3 and Re:20-22, bringing in any other part would be a distraction from the topic those references cover. 6 chapters doesn't mean it is a short conversation as God covering powers of 10 on page one is part of the topic as that supports an old earth creation.

Ge:3:15 tells you about how the rest of the book will go and expect to sopend more than one day getting all that down pat. There are shortcuts that make it easier. The time from the exit from the garden to the last giant being killed in the exodus wars is associated with the serpent in the garden. The bruise to the heel would start with Abraham's sons and Moses was the first person that came under the Law of the 10 commandments and that is the Law that is in place for both bruises in Ge:3:15. The completion of the bruise to the heel was completed at the cross and 3 1/2 years after that the people that would be affected by the other bruise were being taught about the reality that surrounds the one alive at that time.
You don't know anything about the above version but if you are familiar with some actual references that is a good place to start to show that a) I have a solution for what you see as being improbable of impossible that is more specific than less than 100% as the odds of me picking the ones you like best is pretty slim at best. That I see most questions about the Bible as being no more than a pop-quiz these days so your 'list' wouldn't take a long time to reply to. I'll even suggest the myth version gets pushed heavily in the coming years is even a new river as in Eze:47 would be past what men can do, ever.

If none of that interests you but you won't go away then how about this. The shakers of this world see an opportunity to cement control to where even bad decisions cannot be challenged and that requires only the myth version be promoted as defeat of Greece's Zeus is the change in power, unfortunately it starts to rain, a lot of rain so that the Jordan that exists today become a trickle compared to changes in under 10 years.
The 'impossible literal version' has that valley being created as the last act in the pouring out of the 7 vials that began at 1PM and was completed by 3PM. Around the globe certain Gentiles are also resurrected out of the grave and they all enter Israel by coming from the east because that is where they receive a glorified body from the water and the fruit that now grows there.

How could you literally do that without Puff the Magic Dragon doing most of the work. Solution, bring back more than corruption in society, bring back the same weather that comes naturally during anything that is approaching an iceage. In this case if Isreal gets more rain then the odds are very thigh that it goes around the globe. East and west of there it would be the same and that could extend all the way to China solving a lot of 'issues' (or drowning almost everybody if they don't move. With ant luck India will see the monsoon winds glide over the 'flat ground' and the moisture will fall on the mountains to the north. Australia on the other hand will use that big rock in the out-back as the only port in a storm. That would fit 'floods of Biblical proportions' yes? Cause an natural changes that the earth has experience before and will again and mankind will survive just like always. I'm quite sure resistance to change rather than accept and react makes the change a pleasure just because it is a change. When it makes life easier then it is a win/win.

It was so wonderful to see you get dusted yesterday, literally. Perhaps the literal version freaks people out so much as they don't anything but wrath. Hebrews:12 is pretty clear that that is the first introduction to a literal version, what is ignored is that it last for a blink of an eye and it is replaced by peace of mind as is only possible with a literal God.
The people in Nepal had peace of mind, it didn't help when rocks were falling down. If living in Canada gives you peace of mind that is fine, that doesn't mean you are safe from death reaching out and taking you at any time. It is a trip most people will make, the only exception are repented people who are doing one thing right consistently, without that being part of you daily life you are destined to enter the grave before salvation takes hold of you. A certain number of people will survive the 5th, 6th and 7th trumps with their breath intact.
It only matters what you are doing when the 7th trump sounds rather than what you were doing before. If you think I'll be sad if you don't understand that you have that part wrong also.
If trolling is the goal I could post something that would allow you to do that. I'll even admit right now that in 'hind-sight' my actions seem rather stupid, however compared to Judge Little I'm a lot smarter than he is, or so I think. You would be the best judge of that right? Don't want you running off like you did yesterday. My cheeks are still burning, same as yours, looks good on you.

So you got any proof at all that any religion is not a myth? Or is it just your version that is fact and all others are myth? After all they can't all be right.
