A Pail of Living Water
Every classroom has a kid or two who think they’re so much smarter than everyone else--even the teacher. That’s the one sentence I would use to describe the ever-growing interest in the game of enlightenment. It is a game, I believe, where only the “winners” lose. Though I use the the word ‘lose’ very loosely lol. Why? Because to imagine you are somehow smarter than everyone else or have been given information no one else in the classroom has, is to remain in the dark--is to remain ignorant.
They forget this earth school we’ve all signed up for is nothing but a microcosm of the macrocosm: it’s a split second in eternity wherein we’re imagining we are on a planet where ‘good and ‘evil’ (mostly) reign. Yet, all of the duality thoughts are only in our minds because all we have to do is walk outside and feel the fresh air and warm sun on our face, or look up at the stars, to remember we are standing on One Whole Planet; a planet I find intensely beautiful that has fascinated me my whole life; a planet we’ve yet to fully explore and understand.
Spiritual leaders often forget we are all drawing from the same well, being from the One Mind of ‘God’, of Source. That said, to speak of eternity with certainty is simply to say that you believe that well will never run dry. Only the ego makes it more than that, imagining some pails are much prettier and bigger than others.
Overall, I believe Source is not grading us, and there is no passing or failing. It’s up to all of us individually how much water we draw from the well. But if there was a way to measure it, I would say that those who are the most filled with Spirit, i.e., they who are kind and loving, compassionate, forgiving, empathetic, joyful… etc… they are the ones who are returning home with a pail overflowing with water. Water to use, spare, and share for those who have not yet opened to receive that which has been freely given to all equally.

Very true. The ego sometimes forgets that we are all one. We are socially conditioned to compete when there is nothing to compete for or anyone to compete against. duality is the realm of the ego. Spirit knows better.
