Of course they did, social media has damn few brains but lots of pull.

While I wouldn't recommend sleeping in front of a commercial premises as standard behaviour, the incident should be regarded for what it was, doing very minimal harm to the franchise. Soaking the guy and his blanket was just a very ignorant thing to do- the guy has nothing beyond a dog and a blanket - we don't know what his life has been like, but one thing for sure he could probably use some help. If I had been there I may have dumped that water over the A$$hole's head.

"It's not known whether the man who allegedly poured the water is actually a store employee.
CBC News has yet to receive a reply from Tim Hortons."

but hey, why worry about little details like that. Gotta make sure we get our pound of flesh for all perceived wrongs.

Timmies apologized fer this.

That and a couple bucks'll buy you a coffee at Timmies. Maybe a donut too. :canada:

I did. 72-80, 85- 98.

For us the Prairies was a better place to raise a child and made even better sense financially.

The Lower Mainland wasn't ready for the foreign influx, heavy economy change, massive social spending cuts, forestry and pulp industry death, construction boom, crazy inflation, tourism growth, grow houses, crack, china white and meth all at once.

But But some of us aren't smart like youse, Petros, and wind up on cardboard in Vancouver.
Think maybe Timmies just wanted them to move along. Sure didn't seem like an invite to extend their stay.
eh.
whatever.

Vancouver businesses told to call 311 if street people block their doorway

There's no doubt there is two sides to the story. Both sides have to be able to "'give" a little. I guess one of the burning questions is how much right do the street people have to the street. I definitely think there should be a "no occupy zone" within a certain radius of any door way to a business. 20' might be reasonable. Permanent housing for the homeless would be the best solution. Unfortunately there's a few who make it bad for the majority, such as no respect for other people's property. Pouring water on a person or his belongings ISN'T a satisfactory solution.

Mary Hill?

Could be a relation of Fanny Hill! :)

Of course nobody in this love in group would wonder how much grief this causes many many businesses who pay the taxes to let idiots feed losers.
Most people don't give a **** if a homeless person is sitting outside a business area, it wouldn't deter me from going inside a Tim Hortons or where ever. But human garbage who throws water on homeless people would definitely get many people boycotting their business, myself included.
