Good article. I agree with pretty much most of what it said. In my city, the "movers and shakers" are people who are, for the most part, conservative-leaning who have done well and give back to the community 10 fold. They are amazingly generous and our community has benefitted well from their efforts and money.
On the other hand, there are Liberals who simply want other people to give more and think nothing of taking for themselves and their friends.
Just my observation....
Oh, you mean hard-working conservatives like Donald Trump who so far has given none of his wealth to any reputable charity. Or perhaps you are talking about conservatives like J.D. Rockefeller who destroyed the lives of thousands of people in his desire to enrich himself, and then in his old age tried to buy back his reputation. And then there are conservative like to Koch Brothers who use their wealth to undermine their own country.
Trump was never a conservative.
J.D. Rockefeller allowed everyone easy access to gasoline, that accomplishment saved many thousands if not millions of lives and improved everyone’s quality of life.
