I wish I could agree with you, I really do but it is just not like that. Racism is escalating and it's from all angles going out against all angles.
There is an ethnicity in Canada that targets caring, open minded elderly white people just like yourself for violent robberies and rape because you are white and no other reason.
How does that make you feel?
I don't feel anything from what is just your opinion, doesn't apply to me, I have my own views.
I am very aware of how racism has moved throughout the years in my part of the world. doesn't matter
how old I am, what colour I am, every race has its racists and bigots, people are people, some
races have suffered more than others, but all countries have their own numbers, just as we do.
when we were growing up we learned that the Europeans were very racist between 'each other', it was
easy to see for us, as my husband, when he was growing up lived in a place we all called little
Europe, and the adults of each race certainly stuck together, very friendly on the outside, but
they came to Canada with those feelings with them, and listening to conversations arounds tables,
they were unaware that they were racist, but they talked about each other as the 'race' the other
person was, with quite a closed mind. some became friends, but mostly it was a polite hello to
the different people of different races.
silly question, 'where do we stand' in being racist, who knows, we don't live in other countries to
know just how they treat other races, we should just be fair and accepting of others in our own
country, and not try to count how many compared to how many.
