I do hope that if this is something the Conservatives are supporting, that this is a decision made by the party, not just the leader. We already have a wannabe dictator.
What I'd really like to see (if in fact it was ever identified or exists in some form) is where our National debt sits at today compared with the Feb. 2018 level predicted when Justin was campaigning to be P.M. (Was it $30B over and above what it was in Oct. 2015?)
Maybe Canada should just declare bankruptcy. No one will want to lend to us for a while. When the government no longer has a choice but to balance the books, then Canadians might finally smarten up.
I believe JT holds some kind of christian religious affiliation, does that make him a christian nutbar to?
You'd think so, with stupid statements like this. Why we would interject into the policy of another country that has still not resolved a peace plan is mind boggling?
If my fellow conservatives want to endure another four years with the terrorist hugging liberals all they need to do is endorse this nonsense.
HEY, ANDREW SCHEER!
GIVE YOUR FOOKING HEAD A SHAKE!

Scheer pledges Tories will recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital if elected
Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer announced Monday his party would follow the U.S. president’s decision to recognize as Israel’s capital the city that Palestinians also claim as their capital.
OTTAWA—Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer says if his party forms government in 2019, it will follow U.S. President Donald Trump’s lead and recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Scheer’s declaration comes in the form of a pledge posted to the Conservative party website designed to gather signatures from members of the public.
“Canada’s Conservatives led by Andrew Scheer will recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital when we form government in 2019,” the pledge says, describing the party as “a strong voice for Israel and the Canadian Jewish community.”
The only capital the zionists have is hell.
Not according to the over 1 million Muslim voters in Canada.
i wouldn’t worry so long as the US keeps somehow getting money,
Jesuit
Or Sheol?
Eh..
He's playing to the base, but yea, I can't imagine anyone else getting on board.
First off mr. tired soldier , how can you argue from a non biased view point wh en you start calling calling someone an idiot ? Your point of view is lost before it begins .Following the lead of an idiot like Donald Trump is only going to get Scheer branded as a Republican wannabe. I find it strange that we bitch at the leaders we oppose for sticking their nose where it doesn't belong, yet fall deaf when our own good advice is worth consideration.
Arrogance is how we ended up with this idiot in the first place. I don't give a shit about Israel or Palestine, I do care about Canada and the absolutely incompetent leader we presently have. Thinking that the cannabis file or India will sink Trudeau is arrogant.
Scheer was made leader of the Conservative Party for the fact that he is a young new face. If he offers himself up as the usual right wing christian nutbar who follows the flawed lead of an American President who is clearly the polar opposite of Trudeau but just as inexperienced and unqualified, he will be handing Trudeau another majority.
The question is, "What business is of ours?"
The question is, "Why would we debate into a hotbed of polarization when clearly the two state solution is still at a standstill?"
Much more balanced .While I'm not a big fan of Trump, the fact is that he merely completed a task that was supposed to be completed by 1999. The Jerusalem Embassy Act was passed by the US congress in 1995. It's hard to fault a leader who has the tenacity to follow through on a job that 3 previous presidents didn't have the stomach for...although Bush likely deserves some slack, the Act allowed for the President to "delay the implementation of the law indefinitely if the move presents national security concerns". A lot of things changed on 9/11.
As far as Scheer recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital, I tend to agree it may be contentious and possibly detrimental to the Conservatives, at least he is showing that he can take a stand on an international issue without being a pussy, something that Canadians may be appreciative of given the current leadership we have. And if not, at least there's no doubt where he stands.
I do hope that if this is something the Conservatives are supporting, that this is a decision made by the party, not just the leader. We already have a wannabe dictator.
Anti abortion and pro capital punishment .At the end of the day, approx 1/2 of the electorate voted for Trump and his policies were pretty clear.
You don't have to agree with his policies (I disagree with a great deal of them) but the fact of the matter is that he has worked to keep those promises.
I can think of very few Canadian politicians that have done so
I really don't understand what that means.
Go back to what JT got elected on, policies, platforms, etc. and really, what did he have to offer other than the standard political-speak platitudes.
Ultimately, I have come to the conclusion that Canadians are low-information voters and want to believe, in their heart, the tripe that is offered by many/most politicians.
With this in mind, I don't think that it's 'arrogant' to suspect that an event(s) such as the trudeau family trip to India (and Japan & London & France, et al, etc) won't have an impact or be in the minds of the electorate come election day.
On that note, the cannabis proposal was favorably received by a substantial % of the population... There were many that were/are extremely supportive and a large % that really didn't give a rip, but thought that it would not be harmful (ie. Reefer Madness style). That said, unless the JT gvt can provide an acceptble reason why there is such limited progress, that door is open to the other Parties to exploit and not so much a big selling element to the Libs
Who are the christian nutbar leaders in recent memory.
I believe JT holds some kind of christian religious affiliation, does that make him a christian nutbar to?
Israel is a nation.
Israel has designated Jerusalem as their capital city.
Jerusalem is part of Israel.
Israel is an ally, and their capital is Jerusalem. It has been for 37 years.
The question is why wouldn't we have our embassy in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel?
Anti abortion and pro capital punishment .
