Another one is "nipply". When it's nippy enough to cause a physical transformation to the raisins on the bullet bumpers of the females of our species.

I like nippons for that process.;-)
My husband calls this process "puppy dog noses".

You do not survive your childrens' adolescence. You continue to live with it no matter what. No matter how old they get, when they come home for a few hours they revert to the child again and they even get persnickity enough to treat "us" like we are the child! Smurfs!

When you are drooling on your bib and soiling the Depends, that's when it's safe to play the kids and up and take revenge....

What really bugs me is when they smush two celebrities names together.... like Benifer or Brangalina! Who ever thought that up should be slapped! Twice!

By the way, you forgot to use quote marks around 'Lord of the Rings,' as you did with 'The Hobbit.'

I think putting something in capital letters serves the same purpose as putting quotes around it. Anyway, I would like to thank you for reading my posts so carefully and so diligently.

I hate them. Plain and simple. I try to avoid using them. They strike me as the intellectual low of our era. And so, I kick off this list, of pathetic smush words. Feel free to add those that annoy you the most, or, your favourites.

Most hated....
Frienemy.

The only one I like.... 'slacktivist'.

I am not sure if these have been mentioned yet, but here are a couple. A hate the meshing of two celebrities' names.

1. Bennifer.(Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner) was Jennifer Lopez
2. Brangelina.(Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie)
3. Speigle(Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Two of the biggest wastes of skin in the "celebrity" world today).

Oh... I remembered one I use with my kids.... maybe that's why I think they seem childish when used in political convos... lol...

a natural evolution from hugging and snuggling to "huggling".

There's nothing like being consistent with your style of English however you distort it.
