I've been listening to Joe McGinniss being interviewed about the book he is writing about Sarah Palin. He's been renting the house next door to her and says to the effect that she is a paranoid whacko, who thinks he's a "Peeping Tom" and she has some far out religious beliefs, like Jesus will be returning during her tenure. What do you think? Realist or Whacko?

The guy is writing a book about the crazy woman next door???? He does sound like a Peeping Tom. Sure Palin is nuts, but even crazy people have a right to privacy.

I think that any journalist who rents a house next door to someone in order to write a book about them shouldn't be surprised at being thought of as a 'peeping tom'; respectable writers and journalists don't do this kind of stuff.

I think she's a bit of a whacko, but I think he's a disgusting creep.

Just because he's a discusting creep doesn't mean she is not a wacko.

However, I would tend to treat anything he says as suspect anyways. As a matter of fact, his little escapade has got him some free publicity for his book ... in stores soon.

Most of us don't need him to tell us about what Sarah is or is not. I bet everybody already has an opinion one way or antother which will not change because of this book.

The Palin's had to build a 20 foot tall fence, to keep this guy from constantly spying on them. He then used a periscope to watch them.

So, who is the real "whacko" here?

Obviously Palin, because, if she had nothing to hide, she wouldn't try to hide it. She would be happy with 24 hr surveillance, full body scanners, neighbors watching her every move.

Isn't that the new reality? If you want privacy, you're obviously hiding something.

She obviously missed an opportunity to stage something so outrageous that when he reports it, it would be found to be false and completely discredit him as a reliable source about anything else.

I think Sarah’s best line is yet to come or it may not. But it would be along the lines of "I can almost see sanity from here".

Just another scumbag pariah who is looking to make a few bucks off her celebrity status, whacko or not.

I listened to a good part of the interview and if half or even 25 % or 10 % is accurate - She’s whacked, certifiable and almost the VP of the US.
McCain’s head must have been up his ass.

To those who dislike Palin....nothing is too outrageous for them to believe, as one can see from some of the posts here

I have no personal bias for Sarah - The world is full of wackos - she is just another one of many - but with some influence - not as much as she used to have - Thank God for that.

Okay, forgive me, because I am going to be rude.

I think the author is a piece of crap who, were there any justice in the world, would have had his house next door to Sara's burned to the ground with him in it.

Now, let me qualify that by saying No, I do NOT believe Sara Palin is in any way qualified to be President.

Which makes her only five or six times better for the job that the moron that is running the place now.

Let me wrap this all up by saying that anyone that gives the slightest credence to the unsupported, vindictive, slanderous, vicious ratings of Joe the Peeper author is simple not firing on all cylinders.

Read ANY of the book reviews, even those from the extremely liberal NY Times......and Joey boy is villified.... (to the credit of that paper!!!)

Develop a brain boys, this book is not fit to be used as paper in the bottom of your bird cage.

there are lots of reasons to criticize Ms. Palin......all this does is makes her look unjustly persecuted. Stupid.

Just in case there are those that still think, imagine or cling to imaginary lessons learned from SNL:

snopes.com: I Can See Alaska from My House

I assume that everyone knows that she actually said there are places in Alaska where you can see Russia, but maybe there are people who don't know. Same as there are people who don't believe Obama was born in Hawaii; there are lots of misinformed people out there.

Sarah Palin, asked by Katie Couric how Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience, CBS News interview, Sept. 24, 2008 (Watch video clip)

"Well, it certainly does because our -- our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They're in the state that I am the executive of. And there in Russia ... We have trade missions back and forth. We-- we do-- it's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where-- where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is-- from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to-- to our state." --Sarah Palin

Who can argue with that statement?
