Personal responsibility is personal. I know right from wrong and I avoid doing what I know is wrong. Therefore I will not have an abortion, kill, beat or rob someone. As far as I'm concerned there is no debate because what others do is their responsibility. They are the ones who have to live with the consequences.
It is a fine line between minding my own business and having a social conscience. I haven't mastered that yet and I doubt very many have.
No, you are the one that is disgusting by pulling the "rape" card to justify the murder of thousands of baby's a year. Rape accounts for a miniscule number of abortions per year.
How about we say rape and incest do not enter into the equation.
I'll repost this, and maybe someone will try to answer it this time. If not, then I can only assume that those that support abortion can not answer and have conceded the argument.
I'll take a stab at it.Now, if the baby isn't "human", isn't really "alive" untill it is born, then why are we, as a society, spending all this money on new medical techniques to lower the age of viability? Why spend money on trying to ensure the viability of something that isn't human? Something that has been refered to as being no more than a "parasite"?
How about we call you a hypocrite then? Either the girl made her choice when she left the house and ended up raped, or it is not murder. Those are your choices.
Yeah, I am real disgusting for considering reality and not slow balling it to you.
WAKEY WAKEY HANDS OFF SNAKEY!!!
One more time and I will keep repeating this until it sinks in.
The reason abortions are legal is the very reason you are an unwitting slave. Until you register your baby it is a human after that point it becomes a PERSON which is a legal entity known as a corporation and is only then afforded rights and duties.
Babies even if born who are yet to be registered are not PERSONS and have no rights.
It seems to be correct behavior for the societies of lowlifes. Not to you or me or Cliffy, but there are those that don't frown on the activity.Really? Raping women, molesting kids, beating up little old ladies is "right for me" as is stealing money from my employer. Nobody can say it isn't right.
lolDo you think about what you write before you post it?
..... or societies. It is a debate that will never be settled for those that are unwilling to accept that "personal responsibility" that you threw out.
minding your own business, when it comes to the death of an innocent, is a cop out, and leaves you tacitly responsible.
For me it is simply a matter of choice; I love people so I choose not to steal, beat up, rape, etc. Any of that stuff would make me feel awful. That's on a personal level. On a broader level, I prefer to accept most of the standards of society ( - a little civil disobedience where I think society has gotten heavy-handed or just plain stupid).Personal responsibility is personal. I know right from wrong and I avoid doing what I know is wrong. Therefore I will not have an abortion, kill, beat or rob someone. As far as I'm concerned there is no debate because what others do is their responsibility. They are the ones who have to live with the consequences.

Dead right. I don't think there are many in our society that would abort because of their personal religious, social, legal, political, or moral outlook. Theere are a few that would I imagine, just as there are probably a few that would abort because they think they would look horrid. It's not a religious debate, or a social debate, a legal debate or a moral debate. It is a personal debate that rests fully on the shoulders of the mother.
I'd have to think on that for a while. I was under the impression why abortions are legal was because women lobbied for the right of choice as to what happens concerning their bodies, not some legal rhetoric about what is legal or not.The reason abortions are legal is the very reason you are an unwitting slave. Until you register your baby it is a human after that point it becomes a PERSON which is a legal entity known as a corporation and is only then afforded rights and duties.
So until you unshackle your enslaved asses abortions will be the rule of the day.
Still think you are free? If they can kill the unborn what chance do the living have of freedom?
Then we are ALL (you, me, the pope, doctors, teachers, Dalai Lama, etc.) responsible for the deaths that have occurred because of war, crime, etc.minding your own business, when it comes to the death of an innocent, is a cop out, and leaves you tacitly responsible.
Sometimes it is handy to have a discerning eye and use a little judgement, alright.Yep, that fine line can be a mind torturer. A friend of mine who lives out in the boonies has a neighbour about 1/2 mile away who grows pot. The other day he mentioned to me that he's reported it to the cops umpteen times but they seem to do nothing about it. I thought to myself, is this a case of having a social conscience or sticking your nose where it doesn't really belong. I would think before reporting it the guy would have figured out what they were doing with it, smoking it with their friends or selling it to elementary school kids. Sometimes you just got to know when to close one eye and look the other way with the other.
I heard that Shoppers Drug Mart is going to offer abortion clinics in select stores in the coming year.
Sorry, I think Andem makes the rules here, not you.You can call me whatever your little heart desires, it really doesn't mean anything. I have already stated that rape and incest be left out of the equation as abortions preformed for those reasons are very miniscule in the big scheme of things. I am just talking about abortions preformed outside of rape and incest.
Because rapes in Canada exceed those of the States (per capita)? Because we think it is an inexcusable and despicable act? Lots of reasons. You do seem to have an abnormal interest in rape though, I wonder why that is.
"It is a debate that will never be settled for those that are unwilling to accept that "personal responsibility"" .... or societies' responsibilities. I am agreeing with you.?????
