Re: The Shiny Pony Returns to Canada's Left Coast

Many a drone with the vapors saw his shininess:

TORONTO — Justin Trudeau arrived at a “ladies” night fundraiser in Toronto on Thursday, looking unfazed by a public lashing that had called him patronizing and sexist because of a provocative invitation to the event that packaged the federal Liberal leader like a heartthrob boy band.

Approximately 100 mostly female guests chatted loudly over glasses of wine and bowls of candy at a trendy downtown Toronto event space as they waited for Mr. Trudeau, who removed his suit jacket, undid his top shirt button and loosened his tie before taking the stage to a warm welcome.

The invitation for women to pay $250 to see “Justin. Unplugged,” and “really get to know” him, was accused of overplaying his sex appeal and suggesting female voters aren’t interested in heavyweight political issues.

The invitation featured a soft-focused, pop-art photo collage of Mr. Trudeau, who is referenced only by his first name.

Women aren't supposed to worry their minds with all that economic and political mumbo-jumbo, it will only confuse them and possibly cause one or more to collapse from the stress.

Their role is to look pretty and refine the really important skills of baking delicious pies, driving Timmy to hockey and taking Suzy to her ballet classes (young girls shouldn't ever dream of doing man-stuff like play hockey)

At Toronto fundraiser, Justin Trudeau seemingly admires China’s ‘basic dictatorship’ | National Post

Channelling the totalitarian affections of his father, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau stated his admiration for China’s dictatorial tendencies during a ladies-night themed fundraiser held in Toronto on Thursday.

During the event, which was widely criticized for sexist and condescending undertones, an audience member asked Mr. Trudeau which nation’s “administration he most admired.”

The party leader responded:

“There is a level of admiration I actually have for China, Ahh, because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green as fast as, we need to start, you know, investing in solar – there is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about: having a dictatorship where you can do whatever you wanted, that I find quite interesting.”
Mr. Trudeau went on to say he also appreciated the way the territories were run “without political parties, around consensus,” noting that those regions seem to pull together to “try and solve issues rather than to score points off of each other.”

While on CBC’s power and politics, Mr. Trudeau noted the concerns swirling around the takeover of natural resources by a Chinese state-owned entity would be similar to those of a takeover by a Scandinavian state-owned entity.

The government responded to Mr. Trudeau’s gaffe in the House of Commons on Friday as well. Tim Uppal, the Minister of State for Multiculturalism, said Mr. Trudeau’s remarks showed he was unfit to lead the “greatest democracy in the world.”

Ha ha! All your hate mongering is only keeping his name in the headlines. Good or bad, it doesn't matter. What matters is the name is constantly in the press. It is all your whining about him that just may get him elected. If he is, y'all will get what you deserve for being such a bunch of whiny little girls.

Oh, Fragrant Pony!

True North Report: Trudeau harboured a deeply illiberal admiration for Mao's China... [In Two Innocents in Red China, he] described a fantasyland where prisons were lined with "fine fragrant trees" and where "the Chinese are recovering their human dignity."

Oh, Fragrant Pony! - Small Dead Animals

During CBC’s Friday episode of Power & Politics, the panel dismissed any real significance to Justin Trudeau’s comment that he, “Admires China’s administration most.”

The panel including: CBC’s resident ‘reporter geek girl’ Kady O’malley, Maclean’s Martin Patriquin, Greg Weston and host Rosemarie Barton – failed to see, or otherwise dismissed outright, the significance of Trudeau’s boneheaded reply during his ‘ladies night’ Q&A.

It was simply a ‘joke,’ they all agreed. A joke in bad taste perhaps, like Kady O’Malley likened to, “That ironic Nazi Halloween costume.” I’m not sure how ‘ironic’ it is when being asked, “Which nation– besides Canada– which nation’s administration do you most admire?” one responds with “China,” particularly if you’re priming, prepping, and readying to become Canada’s future Prime Minister.

Better that they leave him alone on this for the time being... In roughly one year, the Dippers and Cons will be roasting his a s s with attack ads and reminding him of all the remarkably stupid things he's said
Oh no, you got it wrong. The Cons use attck ads. The NDP and Liberals don't.

Just ask the Usual Suspects.
