I'd be willing to bet a hunnnndred bucks that none of the miscreant senators, cept the one who actually commited an assault,(alleged?) will ever see the inside of a courtroom, and will never get to spend time in jail.
The payback money is going to be smoke and mirrors.
El Primo never saw a thing.
Senate won't be abolished.
Unemployment will continue to rise.

Finger nail art? Watermelons look cool.

At $6.75 an pound, where is the money from all our change going? Nickles dimes quarters that are made of nickel are being yanked from circulation. Where is that money going? it isn't chump change and it's not going onto the books either.

Haven't read a whole lot bout that, Petros. Whose yanking the change ??............

What books, and how ya know it ain't on them ??

Melted for nickel ??

Thought we had enough from our mines??

Can you give me some references on this. I'd like to read up.

merci................sign me d'oh.

fukker, reality bites....

All of our change went steel. Check your pocket. Older nickel coins and of course the copper penny are disappearing fast.

Re: More Shiny Ponyness!

I empathize with your brother...when I was around 8 I got a portable record player. Someone donated a whole bunch of old Elvis LP's at some point and there was one with his face on the front cover and it was blue. I must have played that thing day and night over and over and over again. I remember singing my heart out to it. My brother broke it in half and threw it out the door into the snow. :-( I knew I was going to grow up and marry him so it was too traumatic.

Girl twins across the road had a record player and a collection of 45's.................with that huge plastic thing in the middle you set the records on and they dropped down one by one.

We wore that thing out. I think their mother or father pulled the needle out. a sad day for Elvis. A good thing for mankind.
 We took up an allowance collection and bought a new needle.....

Some days there'd be 10 kids dancing in their kitchen................Kept us off the streets . Fortunately their parents were cool and not quick to anger.

Yep, ok, knew that. So, someone is cleaning up with no accountability?

Except for the looney and the middle of the twoney. Brass plated steel there.

Wifey's mum is an Elvis freak. Also a Tom Jones freak. Wifey still doesn't know whether she should ask her mum if she was one of the girls that threw her panties at Jones at concerts.

Re: More Shiny Ponyness!

Loonie started as an alloy and is now steel. 91.5% nickel and 8.5% bronze.

The toonie started as: Ring: 99% nickel Centre: 92% copper 6% aluminium 2% nickel

Re: More Shiny Ponyness!

lol That's funny. He converted to Islam? If he didn't, I can imagine at least some Moslems being a bit miffed that he mocked their religious rites by participating. Be kinda like a Satanist praying alongside Catholics in a cathedral, I would think.
Reminds me of a Paul Martin who wanted to visit a southeast Asian area that was hit by a hurricane or tsunami or something to appear to be a kind, caring Canadian type prime minister and yet you could see in his face that his mind was saying, "eewwww Icky. I don't wanna be here".

More ignorant BS. There is no evidence that he converted to Islam and if Muslims are upset because he wished them well in their own language, so be it.

Re: More Shiny Ponyness!

Right. I was clear about all our change going steel. If it has the RCM emblem on the coin, it's steel and plated.

Question is, where has the money from the alloys and nickel gone?
