A new poll shows a strong late surge in support for GOP candidate Mitt Romney, bringing him to a tie with President Obama, with a little over two weeks until election day.

The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released Sunday shows the two candidates in a 47-47 tie among likely voters nationwide, in a poll conducted entirely after last Tuesday’s second presidential debate. Obama, though, retains an edge among registered voters, with 49 percent support to 44.

The numbers mark the first time Romney has pulled even with the president in the poll. In the last poll taken before the first of the three presidential debates, Obama held a 49 to 46 advantage over his GOP challenger among likely voters.

Yeah like when Rush said that those black guys who were involved in the Wilding case were all guilty. He spent an entire week saying how this proves black men are all out to rape white women. Years later we learned that a rape did not take place and that the police made up that story. Honest and Truth telling Rush never retracted his stupid comments. That shows you how much "integrity" he has.

Did you say "all"? Including John Kerry, Albert Gore, and Jim Webb? I'm sure you are quite mistaken.

Meanwhile, right wingers have a tendency to take some lefties to task for not serving their time or make up lies as they did with Kerry. By contrast, lefties have a tendency to ignore this as an issue with righties because they are too timid to capitalize on their cowardice or on how they profit from war.

The good news for Obama is that the polls don't include deceased registered voters. That's the demographic that just may pull him to victory on November 6.

I hadn't listened to Rush for months but decided to listen the day after the last debate.

He has always been the master of omission. Always leaving out proof and he did not fail that day. I listened for the first hour and he was ranting on how Obama and the 'left' media just lie. He went on about the 'just lie' tirade but not once did he refute anything that happened during the debate. As I listened I was wondering, who is listening to this and thinking 'yes the left and obama are just lying' but not thinking 'well what did they lie about' which of course no proof was provided. It was like he was talking to someone who had not seen the debate nor heard anything else about it.


As for Ann Romney on the View, does anyone else find it insulting that she equates going to Paris for 2 years for one's church to serving in the military in battle?




I did not give the President a C or an incomplete. But I will give the RNC a 98% for sleazy parsing.

Most of the remainder of the world does not understand how Romney/Ryan could be so close to President Obama in US polls, and are NOT prepared for a GOP win in November...They simply can not understand how pervasive is the ignorance and racial /religious hatred that comprise the motivation for today's GOP, or that the rich have been allowed such pervasive influence in our political system. In Europe, 75% of those polled believe Obama will win...in one poll in Germany that number is 85%. But that may just be wishful thinking on their part. Conservatives in Europe have no problems with gay marriage, or with trade unions - unions have members on the board of corporations in much of Europe- and the rich are still fabulously rich, and everyone has a high standard of living, health care and better benefits and vacations...

The View ladies are totally clued out. What an incredibly stupid issue to bring up. Did they ask eye-candy why he thought smoking pot and snorting coke in Hawaii would be a better character builder than joining the army when he was on?

Seriously, they're chastising Romney for not doing what Obama didn't do? That's too funny. Stupdity, thou art The View.
