How Big Companies Use ‘Plain English’ to Rob Us Blind

“The Romney-Ryan plan would insure that any profits created offshore by U.S. corporations would never be taxed by the U.S. government. This would create a tremendous incentive to move more and more U.S. jobs overseas to escape taxes on the profits that foreign workers produce for them.”

The shift to “territoriality” would also unleash an even higher level of corporate manipulation of the tax system than prevails now, where as many costs as possible are ascribed to U.S. operations and the profits credited to their foreign subsidiaries. Major multinational corporations like Apple and GE and Nike use a variety of accounting tricks—especially, setting up hundreds of shell corporations--to essentially launder their profits before moving their lightly taxed money home.

The imposition of a “territorial” tax system exempting U.S. firms’ foreign operations thus would make the current system infinitely worse, both in terms of job loss and shrinkage of taxes paid by major corporations.

Mitt hasn’t failed you.

Mitt is the absolute essence of you.

One of the many strikes against Mitt Romney’s candidacy has been a regular drumbeat of complaint by movement conservatives like Redstate’s Erick Erickson that Romney isn’t sufficiently ideologically conservative, that he’s wishy-washy on their issues.

The mistake you make is in thinking he was supposed to stand for what YOU want, but you have missed the punchline of your own joke: he’s not there for you. He’s there for himself, and himself only.

Which is exactly the direction you have been trying to push the politics of the country for more than thirty years.

You were just too dumb to understand that you could be tossed out in the cold just like the blacks and the gays and the poor and the women and all the other people you don’t care about.

In a world run by sociopaths, you get betrayed just like everyone else. You’re not immune. You’re non-human non-factors whose feelings, interests and aspirations are non-relevant, too.

Welcome to Mitt’s world, suckers.

Just heard on C.B.C. news that Romney is pretty well officially toast. Way down in both Ohio and Florida, both states he desperately needs. Guess his mouth did it to him.

Or.............it could be any lack of real substance in his platform, JLM. Kind of helps to let people in on what you are planning to do once you are in office.

- You're right, of course. The best way to be elected is to make all kinds of big, shiny, imprsssive election promises even though you know that you won't actually keep many of them because they are too expensive or too controversial or too ridiculous or too reliant on congress or others for you to be able to keep them. Obama's 2008 campaign of Hope and Change was full of such gaudy promises including to cut the deficit by 50% in the first term (he's actually increased it by more than 50%) and to keep unemployment under 8% and gradually down to under 6% by the end of the first term (its actually been over 8% for his entire presidency) and to restore strong economic growth (it was an anemic 1.3% in August) and to close Gitmo, to try terrorists in open civilian courts, to reach across the aisle in bi-partisan fashion and to heal the political divide in the nation the same as he would cause the oceans to heal, yadda, yadda, yadda.

- Obama knows that a combination of the Big Lie technique and really roughhouse and thuggish Chicago politics is the way to win the presidency.

- He also knows that by the time his term is up the morons who voted for him in 2008 will either 1. have forgotten all about his litany of campaign promises four years ago or 2. be stupid enough to believe that he actually kept them or 3. not give a **** because they are on the take and in the tank with cushy public sector sinecures or entitlements they couldn`t have scored before Barry bought them. Accordingly, he actually has a shot at winning re-election.

- Romney, regrettably, is an honourabvle man of great character who has tried against all manner of provocation to run an honest, high road campaign and to not make promises that he doesn`t believe he can necessarily keep. But unlike Obama, he has a realistic and workable five point plan to restore the US economy and national finances that he can keep and that will generate an average of 4% a year economic growth (nearly triple Obama`s current growth rate) and will create a minimum of 12 million net new jobs (more than triple Obama`s current job creation rate). Also unlike Obama, he has a decades long record of extraordinary success wheres Obama has no record of any consequence prior to 2008 and an unblemished record of total failure since 2008.

- So if you`re in the tank or the trough and otherwise on the take, hold your nose and vote BO. If you are trying to make your way in the competitive market sector, vote for the guy who is running a realistic and honest campaign and who knows how to get results in the competitive private sector.

Fox and Friends, smoking the wacky tobacky or something:
Fox & Friends: The Polls Are Rigged! - YouTube

Fox News has polls too...and they show the same thing:
Obama has edge over Romney in three battleground states | Fox News

Fox News is left-based mainstream media. Fox News has a media polling bias in favour of Democrats. Fox News is stacking the deck for Democrats. Fox News is skewing polls to help the President out. It's a subliminal message from Fox News. Fox News is weighting the sampling towards more Democrats. It's a conspiracy to keep Romney voters from donating more cash and to suppress the early vote from Romney supporters.
