I didn’t see a poll Gopher, but I heard it on CNN. They said that Giuliani is behind Andrew Cuomo, the most likely Democratic candidate for Governor, by double digit, but that he is ahead of Gillibrand by double digit in the senate race.

But I didn’t see any poll. And seeing that Rasmussen is a Republican leaning site if there had been such a poll, I am sure Rasmussen would have trumpeted it on the front page, they would not have reported the Pataki poll at all.

But I remember seeing it on CNN.

A Marist College poll this month found that Cuomo would beat Giuliani for governor, 53 percent to 43 percent. But Giuliani leads Gillibrand 54 percent to 40 percent in a possible Senate run.

Maybe that was the poll they reported on CNN, ironsides.

But as I said before, Giuliani is a RINO if there ever was one (pro choice, pro gay rights, etc.). If the infighting in the Republican Party between moderates and conservative continues, it is quite likely that Giuliani may face a third party conservative caniddate in the general election. If that happens, all bets are off.

I read the link you gave, ironsides. It is a typical, extreme right wing rant, there are probably thousands of blogs like this on the internet, I don’t know why you decided to post this particular one.

He quotes the Standard approvingly, which is of course another far right publication. This guy is a typical Obama hater, probably a tea party attendee, perhaps even a birther.

Most reasonable people realize that Obama has been in office less than one year, it is too early to pass judgment on his presidency (unless of course one hates him with visceral hatred, visceral passion).

What went on under the table with Bill and Monica would look like a Sunday school picnic compared to what Warren and the girls were doing in his office..................

Republicans tried to make them so, they tried to exploit the sexual misconduct of Clinton to the fullest, even resorting to purely partisan, political impeachment of Clinton (incidentally, precisely what they will do again if they gain control of the Hose in 2010). But American people didn’t buy it.

In spite of the non stop hatred, non stop venom, vitriol poured out for eight years, in spite of trying to exploit sexual misdemeanors to the fullest, Clinton still left office with approval rating in high 60s.

Sometimes American people are more astute than one gives them credit for.

He has already declared Obama presidency as a failure, pgs. That tells me that he is an Obama hater. Now, I realize that conservatives declared Obama presidency a failure even before he assumed office. But that doesn’t make it right; it is still blind hatred, blind rage towards Obama.

Yeah and Dems downplay any breach in ethics/morality they perform and exaggerate any that Reps perform. Big deal. One side's just as good/bad as the other they are just different than each other.

That was in old days, JLM. Republicans were not prudes in those days, they were not taken over by the religious right. In fact, in the old days, the religious right, the Bible Belt used to vote solidly Democratic. All that changed in the 70s, after the civil rights movement.

So in those days, there really was not much difference between Republican and Democrats when it came to issues of morality, religion etc. Republicans did not advertise themselves as the Party of God, like they do today.
