When it comes to the cost of fuel Americans are the biggest moaners of them all.

Ever get out of the country ironsides?

Yup. We do like to b**** about fuel costs and so far it has worked. I bet Canadians don't complain too much when they visit the US and fill up their tanks cheaply.

Hey Avro, I wasn't complaining, Bragging. $2.65 U.S. gal now. Gas has always been fairly cheap in the U.S. especially compared to Europe and Canada. Wasted more gas than you can dream of.

I enjoy having cheap gas and when the price creeps up I enjoy b***** about it like the rest of the country. That way Congress calls the boys from Gulf and Exxon in and gives them a stern talking to. Believe me...if they could charge $6 per gallon they would.

Quite so, and they get the gas cheapest of any country in the world (with possible exception fo some oil producing countries).

That is because government takes so little in the form of taxes. Perhaps if they took a bit more, they may be able to do something about that astronomical deficit of yours.

There is nothing wrong with 6$ per gallon gas, provided the tax money is used wisely. And whether you like it or not, it may be coming.

When US debt and deficit becomes so high that IMF has to be called in to bail out USA, no doubt one of their first conditions will be a hefty increase in gasoline tax.

And you can enjoy your gas cost, while we just sit back and enjoy our $2.62 per U.S. gal. or less this summer. Of course goverment/people make little from taxes, it goes into the pockets of our elected officials, as does yours.

The Bamster just can't help himself; he lies continually. It's like Rush says,"Obama is the oldest 13 year old on the planet." Or like Mark Levin says, "Everything Obama touches turns to crap."

A majority of Americans remain unhappy with the healthcare legislation passed in March and would like to see the bill repealed, according to recent polls.
In fact, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey has found that 63 percent of United States voters now favor repeal of the reform bill passed by congressional Democrats and signed into law by President Obama in March.
These results have spurred Revere America—an organization that advocates public policies rooted in the traditions of freedom and free markets, and chaired by former Republican New York Governor George Pataki—to highlight its national petition drive.
The initiative aims to collect 1 million signatures of people who want to repeal and replace the healthcare reform bill. It was launched in Boston on April 18, the 235th Anniversary of Paul Revere’s Ride, and has since traveled to 10 cities with more stops planned in the months ahead.
"Rasmussen’s new poll shows beyond any doubt the depth of opposition to the government takeover of healthcare," Pataki said, adding that "it’s not enough to just tell a pollster that you oppose ObamaCare and hope that out of touch politicians in Washington will pay attention."

I bet 63% of Americans don't even know what the bill means, they hate it before it's even enacted.

What a joke.

Mean while no taxes have been raised and in fact have gone down for 97% of the population.

The horror.

It's like watching a new reality show...."America's dumbest Republican".

Keep it up folks, real entertaining stuff.

The voters knew more about it than the legislators did when they voted it into law. Taxes are not due to be raised till next year. Bet you didn't read the health bill and new tax laws either.

You are sounding like the Israeli/Muslim haters you criticized with just about everything.

At the end of the day, it is really upto Americans what they want to do about health care. Whether to keep the current law or to go back to the free for all, Devil take the hindmost attitude that prevailed before the legislation, where Insurance companies ruled with an iron fist.

Because make no mistake, the alternative to the current bill is to do nothing, to go back to the rule by insurance companies. Republicans liked the old system just fine. They are getting hefty contributions from insurance companies and they must look after the interests of their pay masters.

One thing is certain. If current legislation is repealed (and it is a virtual impossibility, considering that Republicans need to win the presidency, a majority in the House and at least 60 seats in the Senate), nobody will touch health care for at least 50 years.

Out of control health care costs will continue to skyrocket, and USA will continue to lag in all the health care indicators (life expectancy, infant morality, maternal mortality etc.).

Incidentally, Rasmussen poll isn't worth the paper itis written on. Rasmussen is a loyal Republican and for a while he worked for the extreme right wing website, WoldNetDaily. This is the same Rasmussen who claimed that Obama/McCain was a statistical dead hear, 3 days before the election.

The insurance companies are still in charge, just that they must (being phased in) take everybody regardless of past medical history. The health bill will not be repealed, just modified and smoothed over. It is hear to stay.
