Nah it was more and there really wasn't an argument now was there? I admitted I did not know all the details as it wasn't so important to me. I could care less.

You got all giddy because Obama's birth certificate obviously means so much to you and had a little more info on it.

I said I didn't know too much about it. Where was the argument?

For the most part they are. I didn't listen to the clip as I could care less what an actor or actress thinks about issues. None of them should be preaching to the people that have to work for a living.

I got all giddy?

All I did was present some info.

Avro, according to your description, you are a free thinker and a resident of Oshawa.

Is it free thinking to support the government takeover of an industry that put bread and butter on the table of your grandparents and parents and perhaps, even you?

Is it free thinking that make you believe that those who are not blindly liberal want their children and themselves to breath dirty air and drink polluted water? Surely you can not be as stupid as believing that.

Are you willing to pay $10.00 (or more) for a gallon of gas?

Well then my dear fellow, high gas prices will reduce the amount used and force industry and comsumers to seek alternative methods thus reducing pollutants in the air.

Now breath.....ah isn't that nice?

Take care.

Well Mr.Avro
Must be a right wing conservative with a name like avro.
Wasn't that C.D.Howe's little brain child?
Can you please explain why when gas prices last reached their peak in 2008
the roads in Yukon and norrthern B.C. were chocked with motor homes and big rigs in simalar amounts to 2 years earlier when fuel was much cheaper?
Mind you this is only my own visual recollection and I don't have any far right wing commentary to back it up.
Is my arguement valid?

Was it 10 bucks a gallon?

Generally speaking raising prices doesn't curtail consumption in the long term, unless of course someone comes up with a viable cheaper alternative.

That's what I said...higher costs and consumer awarness of the enivroment will drive newer and cleaner methods of energy.

The words "new" and "change" are difficult ones for cons, they always seem to fear them.

"Progress" is another challenging word for them as well.

YOu gotta watch you don't get caught up in that bullsh*t a couple of posters on here are famous for. Conservatives, Liberals all the same thing now they have no distinct platforms, just do whatever to ensure longevity at bilking the system.:lol::lol:

You were not here when we discussed a thread as to whether life is better today or 50 years ago. Conservatives here enthusiastically claimed that life 50 years ago was much better; they simply waxed ecstatic about it. They seemed to cherish the racism, sexism, gay bashing, poorer living conditions, lower standard of living, lower life expectancy of 50 years ago and claimed with a straight face that we had it better 50 years ago than we do now.

So yes, progress is definitely a four letter word to conservatives, same as tolerance, diversity, multiculturalism etc.

By alternate methods do you mean solar panels on your car? Or wind mills?

What are you going to do on a cloudy day with no breeze?

The Obama administration has failed to keep congressional intelligence officials in the loop on the investigation into the botched Times Square bombing, as required by law, the top Democrat and Republican on the Senate intelligence committee charged in a letter this week.

I have solar panels on my home and my cottage....guess what...they work on cloudy days.

Cars that are more fuel efficient will use less gas thus saving the com sumer money....no need for for solar panels.

Plus, we humans are bright, if not bogged down by big energy we can figure out clean methods to produce energy. We can play music from a device the width of a credit card....we can achieve anything.

Not sure why cons think we can't.

Obama to Arlington's dead:
'Drop dead again!'

Obama will use Memorial weekend for a trip home to Chicago

By Anne E. Kornblut
With the long Memorial Day weekend on the horizon, President Obama is finally addressing one of the great broken promises of his administration: his early pledge to return home to Chicago every six weeks or so.

Obama must run back to Chicago the city of Evil to strengthen his depleted self.
