OK, mea culpa, I was going by the Canadian reaction!
- JLM ... I read four Canadian newspapers a day and watch at least two daily news programs on TV and even the informed Canadian consensus was that this was the most one sided presidential debate since they started having presidential debates on TV in 1960.
- Having watched the debate myself and having watched every other president debate from 1960 on except for the Ford-Carter debates in 1976 (I was living in Nigerai then and had to settle for listening to the debates on the Voice of America), I can also tell you that this was indeed the most one sided of these events in history. Romney beat up Obama all night on all topics and if it were a 15 round championship fight would have carried at least 13 of those 15 rounds.
- So I assume that by the Canadian consensus you are referring to the consensus on this board by the mainly left wing liberal element who do most of the posting here.
- If you go by the left-lib Canadian consensus here, you will suffer severely from ignorance and irrationality on the vast majority of political topcs that come up.
- Did you also get your hilarious comment that Obama is honest and trustworthy from the Canadian consensus here. Is he as honest and trustworthy as his party chair, Debbie Wasserman-Shultze.
