Not much of an answer, I expected better from a person of your intellect.
So you have finally given up, seeing you have been beaten in this debate. I think I have an answer to your policephobia: it must be a reaction to some criminal activity / police interaction in your past...

That's some police chase, when the cops keep to the speed limit for 17 minutes--- what were they planning? Why not go faster, pull up beside or in front of, to stop the offending driver? (who thought he was being escorted and it would appear that way

yep, that's some "police chase"- maximum speed 41 mph...:lol::lol::lol: I don't know where the 17 minutes comes from.

Again you are in error - Seems to be the norm for you lately - I have the utmost respect for anyone that puts their life on the line. If you have read any of the posts I have made you would be well aware of that.

What I see is complete failure on the part of these Officers to control and address a situation.

The points brought forward, he could be a killer, he brought this upon himself - again without merit - Why - Then we would have seen other actions on the video.

Also it is clear that you have no idea of what training a Police Officer goes thru - If you did then perhaps you would understand the points I brought forward - As you have not made any credible reply - and no insults are not credible but maybe to you -
You Sir are with out merit in your points, without reason in your rebuttals and without knowledge in your replies.

All in all aside from a broken window, maybe a dent or two in the man's "bonnett" ( lol ) there was really no harm done. The man was arrested, the cops were suspended. Everyone can go home happy.

And what will they do with the officers that cannot handle a situation -

You are the one with no merit, you ignore facts, see just what you want to see. You are not credible at all. QED

As far as police brutality goes I think this incident is a non starter. Even the incident in Vancouver recently where the cop pushed the woman over for no reason was more egregious than this.

I like the way the media and you guys skew the facts. None of you mentioned he left the scene of the original incident knocking down a policeman. Praxius conveniently left that out of his original copy and paste of the story.

Conveniently?

I copied and pasted everything that was supplied in the original report I linked. I didn't leave out anything, so if you want to get on your all mighty high horse and toss the blame at someone, perhaps you should toss it at those who wrote the report.

I didn't review the video footage, because where I am at, I can't view online video, so I am restricted to only the information available in the report I supplied.

Re-reading through the original link, it appears as though they revised their report from what I originally copied and pasted, which now of course tells a different, more detailed story. Everything I originally quoted was all that was available at the time, which stated he was pulled over for a seat belt violation... nothing more.

The Following was not there when I originally quoted:

....... Caerphilly Magistrates Court was told that while traffic police were issuing him with a fine, his Range Rover jumped forward and knocked one of the officers over.

Mr Whatley told the court he drove off because he was feeling vulnerable and was worried he was going to have another stroke.

The traffic officers followed and tried to pull Mr Whatley over again but he thought their sirens and flashing lights meant they were escorting him home.

When he eventually stopped, the officers arrested him - with a patrol car camera capturing the attack on the car.

The magistrates court fined Mr Whatley guilty £235 ($408 ) for not wearing a seat belt, failing to stop for a police officer and failing to stop after an accident.

Gwent Police said that the two officers had been suspended and that the incident was being investigated.

So now that I'm aware of more details, imo, the old fart should have his license revoked and not be allowed to be behind the wheel of any vehicle from now on.... the offenses he made are some pretty damn common sense things anybody with a driver's license should be well aware of..... though this also does not excuse the police officers for their aggressive behavior and an investigation seems justified.

Clearly the officers were under the impression that he was simply being belligerent and couldn't fathom a pragmatic reason for why he wasn't stopping. That said, the onus of responsibility was on them not to jump up and down like a bunch of stupid hyenas.

Absolutely, I can't even see what there is to discuss here. We have three professionals against one disabled elderly driver. Professionals are supposed to use common sense and the minimum amount of force to control the situation. The argument that the guy posed a threat just won't fly. What we have here are two highly paid idiots.

Mother To Stand Trial for Saving Son’s Life

Wednesday, 11 August 2010 08:56

'Ana V. Ramirez probably didn’t want to call the police last April when her adult son, Christian Pagan, had what was described as a “violent outburst.” She certainly didn’t want the police to use a Taser on the 25-year-old, who was born with a heart defect and Down’s Syndrome.
“He’s a handicap [sic] kid,” Ramirez told the Miami-Dade Police Department’s 911 dispatcher. “I don’t want them to shoot him with a Taser.” Within minutes of their arrival at the family’s home in West Kendall, the police had shot Pagan six times with a Taser.
Ramirez and her other son, 21-year-old Hernando Yunis, tried to shield Christian with their bodies, pulling the Taser prongs from his clothing and pleading with the police to stop. Ramirez herself was shot with the portable electro-shock torture device before she and Hernando were arrested for the supposed crime of “resisting arrest without violence".'

Risus - As I mentioned earlier - reviewing video many people come to the wrong conclusion - As you did again, and again and again - You have conveniently overlooked the points I brought forward - But then again - why would you - You staked your claim and ain't nothing, even facts will change it.
That must really suck at times - Rigid, but oh yeah I am right - Not freaking likely.Starting to think that you are related to that poster - oh never mind you would just deny it anyways.

Go back and check my replies. I addressed your points one by one, based on the facts. If you can't see that, too bad.
