Yeah. We have an Alaskan neighbor. He definitely is an transplant to this area.
We use "you betcha" around here. " Last time I heard "goldarn" I think it was Walt Disney's Goofy that said it. :D

Last time I heard 'goldarn' was in the 1970s, in Ontario. They used to run this public service cartoon asking drivers to drive carefully behind snowplows, and not try to pass them. The cartoon said they were working on a jet propelled snowplow, and the cartoon guy said 'Goldarn thing keeps gettin stuck in the dadgum snow!'.

Sarah Palin was speaking about U.S - Canadian Relations.
I also read that some of her past relatives are from Canada, maybe that's what sparked the, "Goldarn" and "You Betcha" comments.
I may have to find something on youtube for it, just to hear for myself.

I suppose a twisted little mind would consider that type of behaviour as being worthwhile in a discussion forum.

I take Alaska for my own.

I care not the manner of government

Iniquity brings with it a price.

This one's for Hiroshima.

Alaska is a beautiful place, with plenty of natural beauty. Now that Republicans were not successful in drilling all over Alaska, hopefully the beauty will be preserved forever.

How would you know? have yoy ever been there?

Never mind! After November, when sanity returns to Washington, there WILL be drilling and oil extraction in Alaska, AND the natural beauty of that state will still be maintained.

When the Democrats assume that one can not drill for oil and preserve Nature, they just echo the insipid rambling of their demi-god, Al Gore and automatically assume that everybody is as stupid.

"Most people from New Hampshire couldn't tell you where they are."

Based on the 2008 Presidential Election Results, 52.9% of Americans did not know where they were born, raised, could thank their freedom of speech, religion, assembly, have their high standard of living, and decided for a CHANGE to "fundamentally transform America", and like lemmings jumping off a cliff, voted for the most unqualified, unprepared and overrated man-child for the highest office in the land.

And the same people have the nerve to criticize, demean, denigrate and besmirch Sarah Palin. Along with a bunch of their comrades, here in Canada.

Maybe the United States IS declining. I hope not, because if it is, there is no hope for freedom anywhere on Earth.

Indeed I have been there.

Not a chance. Even if Republicans manage to get control of Senate and House (it still looks difficult as of now), any attempt to uglify Alaska by drilling all over it will be vetoed by Obama.

Or are you saying that Republicans will get a veto proof majority in both Senate and House? Will they end up with 67 Senators? A partisan mind is capable of any delusions.

Yes, the same people have the nerve to critiize Joan of Arc, along with huge number of people who voted for McCain, along with many Republicans. These days she has very little support even among Republicans, as was clear by teh CPAC straw poll.

I wasn't aware that I had lemmings living on me!

And politically, Jack, you sound as much a broken record as some liberals on here.
