"Couric asked her about foreign policy. To that she gave a vague, rambling answer and brought in the fact that you can see Russia from Alaska. That was a totally different thing."
She said that one can see Russia from Alaska.
It was Tina Fey who said that one can see Russia from Sarah Palin's house.
Easy to see the difference, but it obviously escapes those with an inborn blind eye (heck, two blind eyes) to the truth.
Russia CAN BE SEEN from Alaska, except for those who refuse to see reality. It is no different than seeing Niagara Falls from Toronto, except for the doubly blind, who deserve the ridicules they so freely dispense.
I'm wondering what part of Toronto lets you see Niagara Falls.
"And what does that have to do with anything? Joan of Arc said that Russia can be seen from Alaska in response to the foreign policy question. For that she received ridicule."

If Sarah Palin were not a genuine concern for Democrats, she would be an unknown nobody.
"From the CN Tower, with a very good set of binocs."
No, from Burlington to Niagara on the Lake, anytime.
Burlington is not Toronto, and Niagara on the Lake is not Niagara Falls.
In case you weren't aware.
And neither have anything to do with Alaska or Russia. The fact is that you can see Russia fron Alaska.Burlington is not Toronto, and Niagara on the Lake is not Niagara Falls.

Hell, you can see France from Newfoundland. When it's not foggy.
But again, how was that relevant to the foreign policy question Couric asked her?
I think you (or somebody else) already posted this ironsides, I do remember reading it before. But that is not really relevant to her interview with Katie Couric, is it?
Couric asked her simple question, like foreign policy, or what magazines, periodicals she read every week etc. When she could not give coherent answer to such simple questions, that really sealed her fate.
