\$7.11USD/USG is about \$2.48CAD/L. It’s the same or damn close to it.

\$7.11USD x 1.32 (guess) = \$9.3852CAD and then divide by 3.785 = \$2.48CAD/L.

(Just say’n it’s very close)

\$7.11 ÷ 3.79 = \$1.87L USD

While several provinces have mulled the idea of giving drivers a break on their gas taxes, the federal government rejected it out of hand this week with Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson saying it would be “irresponsible.” From a purely economic perspective, he has a point; with Canada facing ever-spiralling inflation, making a scarce commodity cheaper is likely to make everything worse. However, the Trudeau government has suspiciously refused to follow this philosophy in all of the non-gas aspects of their budgeting. Just last week, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland promised to address inflation by pouring even more deficit-financed money into our already overheated economy. Good times.

TurdOWE and his ilk like high gas prices because they firmly believe everyone can have an electric car charged by the sun and no one really has to drive more than 10 k for any reason.

Ah yes, not being accustomed to dealing in international finance I forgot the difference between dollars and northern pesos.

Freeland's solution is to raise inflation even higher! Oh goody!! Let the fun begin! And people think she's a genius!

An 11-cent rise and you'd be whining like a whipped pup.

Enough low information voters got her into office.

Since fuel costs around 25 cents a litre to make, yes we would be outraged at more price increases. And since most of us buy our gas with after tax dollars, all the gas taxes amount to double taxation.
