Sadly, that's the future of America. Modified, low-info voters that speak walmart. Grim brother, very grim.

Unfortunately so.
However, the Obama administration can salvage a 'gold legacy' by dismantling all unnecessary foreign military bases, Pulling out of Chinafganistan by December of this year,, and letting Mr. Karzai negotiate with the new lease operators of his mineral resources- the PRC.

America now provides free security for the Chinese Afghanimall.

Do thast and the debt gets paid down while the ACA is fundable.

So after all the fuss, the Democrats still got exactly what they wanted.

And the Republican party now has their lowest approval rating in recorded history.

Democracy has prevailed.
It pretty ironic that people who hate strikes went on strike and learned what it's like to go on strike and get SFA for their efforts.

It was part of the deal when we bought China.

They did have a plan. It was based on curtailing the Democrats out of control spending and acquisition of debt.

In the end, the ONLY thing that the Dems accomplished is a few months of deferrals in paying their bills and doing something other than printing more cash and borrowing more money to pay for things that generate no long-term return.

The message here is that this entire circumstance is far too complicated such that a comprehensive and well-thought plan is not going to be the result of a couple of guys solving this problem over a few beers

Nope- The major focus was stopping ObamaCare.
When that plan failed- Cruz, Rubio and the other guy disappeared from the media.

Well it is time to gloat for the Dems for sure... but the winds do change.

I am not gloating. Obama is also a major part of the problem.
The Party is having a feeding frenzy on moderates. Note how many lost their renomination bids with money flooding in from the Koch Bros and others.
Both parties have to agree on long ter cuts, changing the taz code, increasing revenue.

One are to look at is how Corps park there money overseas and wait for the rate to drop. The did that under Bush, money came back in.
Perhaps a time limit should be considered.
Not forever as is the present regulations have.

I am not gloating.

Perhaps not you but others are. They are foolishly thinking that this is the end and eternal rule will be bestowed upon the Democrats.

Expect more I'd say.

Then why has the debt ceiling raised?

We can't pay our debt as it is.

That would be nice but the people in power have no intention at all. Life is too good when you secure your seat. Wealth, unimaginable perks, security. A life just short of a rock star.

Then they ain't thinking very clearly.

Then why has the debt ceiling raised?
Drastic cuts are needed. Same as revenue increases.
Debt to GDP has to be lowered.
And the US currency is still the safest currency in the world. Same with US assets.

If voters had any balls they'd ask for an election.

This fiasco and mismanagement is a disgrace to democracy.

It doesn't matter what the system is, when you're broke and in debt with no hope in hell of recovery there are no options.

K.D. and Pork & Beans!

I kind of think the Republican Party will start preparing for the election in 2016 with a chance of winning, if they can get a decent leader. The have a pretty solid core through the West and Mid west.

If voters had any balls they'd ask for an election.

This fiasco and mismanagement is a disgrace to democracy.

It was Democracy and greed that got them into it, people want it all now and to hell with the future.

Now weren't those Southern Boys pictured above, good old Democrats. Voted the straight party ticket for generations, yes they did.
Right up to about 48 when civil rights was on Truman's platform.

Politics of the Southern United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The South becomes Republican

For nearly a century after Reconstruction, the white South identified with the Democratic Party. The Democrats' lock on power was so strong the region was called the Solid South, although the Republicans controlled parts of the Appalachian mountains and they competed for statewide office in the border states. Before 1948, southern Democrats believed that their party, with its respect for states' rights and appreciation of traditional southern values, was the defender of the southern way of life. Southern Democrats warned against aggressive designs on the part of Northern liberals and Republicans and civil rights activists whom they denounced as "outside agitators."

The adoption of the strong civil rights plank by the 1948 convention and the integration of the armed forces by President Harry S. Truman's Executive Order 9981, which provided for equal treatment and opportunity for African-American servicemen, drove a wedge between the northern and southern branches of the party.

With the presidency of John F. Kennedy the Democratic Party began to embrace the civil rights movement, and its lock on the South was irretrievably broken. Upon signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson prophesied, "We have lost the South for a generation."[10]

Not to mention there is never any justification for them, except the one time they go out.

The USA better hope to god that it never needs the unity of the peoples of America. That will never happen again no matter what the consequences. Uncle Sam should remember the actions of the non-Mexica peoples of the Aztec Empire upon arrival of the Spanish.

It was Democracy and greed that got them into it, people want it all now and to hell with the future.
It was induced fear through propaganda not Democracy. First it was the Soviet boogieman now it's the Muzzie boogieman which in reality is just boogiemen for hire.

Do you know the real reason we blew the sh*t out of Libya with CF-18s? It wasn't to liberate the people from Moammar Gadhafi's tyranny. F*ck no. If we gave a sh*t about humans he would have been ousted 20 years ago.

Libya threatened to nationalize Petro-Canada: WikiLeaks | Toronto Star

What started as a political spat in 09 snowballed into "Reporters observed, “Nothing could survive in here for very long,” that the city was “reduced to rubble, a ghost town filled with the stench of death and where bodies litter the streets,” that it was a place “almost without an intact building,” whose infrastructure “simply ceased to exist,” and resembled “Ypres in 1915, or Grozny in 1995,” or postwar “Leningrad, Gaza or Beirut.”

That my friend is what is called Fascism.

Republicans will take the House, Senate and White House in 2016. Be patient. The show is about to begin. Obama jumped the shark with his obamacare. Remember Pelosi said we have to wait to see what is in the healthcare bill. Well, here it comes, right between the eyes. The mess will be so grand and effect so many, it will go down in history as The Great Buffoonery. It's going to be a hell of a show.

Well, Goober. That person is unknown at this time. The Great Buffoonery must take place first. Then, either a current known person will suddenly appear equipped and trusted to take the reigns or a complete unkown will surface. I acknowledge this will be a great feat especially since so many citizens are dying for Hillary to be prez. We will have to just wait. In the meantime, enjoy the show.
